Abstract: Provided herein is conductive adhesive composition comprising at least one epoxy resin, at least one polymer chosen from polyvinyl phenols and polyvinyl butyrals, at least one melamine resin, a plurality of eutectic metal alloy nanoparticles, and at least one solvent. Also provided herein is an electronic device comprising a substrate, conductive features disposed on the substrate, a conductive electrical component disposed over the conductive features, and a conductive adhesive composition disposed between the conductive features and the conductive electrical component. Further disclosed herein are methods of making a conductive adhesive composition.

Abstract: The present teachings include a process, system and article for forming a printed image on a textile. In some embodiments, the process includes coating the textile with a layer of polydiallyldimethyl ammonium chloride cationic polymer and coating the textile with the layer of polydiallyldimethyl ammonium chloride cationic polymer with a layer of poly-4-styrene sulfonate anionic polymer. The process can further include applying an ink composition to the textile having the layer of polydiallyldimethyl ammonium chloride cationic polymer layer and the layer of poly-4-styrene sulfonate anionic polymer, forming an image.

Abstract: A nanoparticle composition comprising a plurality of stabilized metal-containing nanoparticles comprising silver and/or a silver alloy composite. The stabilized metal-containing nanoparticles are prepared by a method comprising reacting a silver compound with a reducing agent comprising a hydrazine compound by incrementally adding the silver compound to a first mixture comprising the reducing agent, a stabilizer and a solvent. The stabilizer comprises a mixture of a first organoamine and a second organoamine, an alkyl moiety of the first organoamine having a longer carbon chain length than the alkyl moiety of the second organoamine. The first organoamine is selected from the group consisting of decylamine, undecylamine, dodecylamine, tridecylamine, tetradecylamine and mixtures thereof. The second organoamine is selected from group consisting of butylamine, pentylamine, hexylamine, heptylamine, octylamine, nonylamine, decylamine and mixtures thereof.

Abstract: A composite manufacture includes an extrudable thermoplastic matrix and a photochromic colorant, the photochromic colorant conferring to the composite a reversible strain-induced color change property. Methods include adding photochromic colorant to an extrudable thermoplastic polymer matrix to form a mixture, heating the mixture to form a composite, the photochromic colorant conferring to the composite a reversible strain-induced color change property. The composite manufactures can be used in cable coatings permitting visual detection of mechanical stresses in a wire based on the reversible strain-induced color change property.

Abstract: UV-curable interlayer compositions are provided. In embodiments, the interlayer composition comprises at least one aliphatic di(meth)acrylate monomer diluent having a dynamic viscosity at 25° C. of less than about 100 cps; at least one (meth)acrylate oligomer selected from epoxy (meth)acrylates, polyester (meth)acrylates, polyether (meth)acrylates, urethane (meth)acrylates and combinations thereof, the at least one(meth) acrylate oligomer having a glass transition temperature in the range of from about minus 10° C. to about 100° C. and a dynamic viscosity at 25° C. of less than about 3000 cps; and at least two photoinitiators. Multilayer structures formed using the compositions and related methods are also provided.

Abstract: A process including providing a curable gellant ink composition having a phase transition temperature; heating the ink composition to a temperature above the phase transition temperature; depositing the ink composition onto a substrate; wherein upon contact with the substrate the ink composition freezes to provide a gel ink layer; treating at least a portion of the gel ink layer whereby treated gellant ink reacts to form a three-dimensional object and wherein untreated gellant ink does not react and remains in gellant form; optionally, wherein the unreacted gellant ink provides a support structure for overhang portions of the three-dimensional object.

Abstract: A support material for use in additive manufacturing includes greater than about 30 weight percent up to about 70 weight percent of a C12 to C18 fatty alcohol ethoxylate, about 30 weight percent to about 70 weight percent of a C16 to C22 fatty alcohol, and a tackifier, a transition temperature measured as the temperature immediately before phase change, based on viscosity measurement, is less than about 65° C. A system for additive manufacturing includes such a support material and a build material, the ratio of C12 to C18 fatty alcohol ethoxylate to C16 to C22 fatty alcohol is selected for property matching of the support material to the build material. A method of additive manufacturing includes providing such a system and printing via an inkjet printer the support material and the build material to provide a precursor to a three-dimensional printed article.
