Abstract: A metal/α-MoC1-x load-type single-atomic dispersion catalyst, a synthesis method therefor, and applications thereof. The catalyst uses α-MoC1-x as carrier, and has metal that has the mass fraction ranging from 1-100% and that is dispersed on carrier α-MoC1-x in the single atom form. The catalyst provided in the present application can be adapted to a wide alcohol/water proportion in hydrogen production based on aqueous-phase reforming of alcohols, outstanding hydrogen production performance can be obtained at a variety of proportions, and catalysis performance of the catalyst is much higher than that of metal loaded with an oxide carrier. Especially when the metal is Pt, catalysis performance of the catalyst provided in the present application in the hydrogen production based on aqueous-phase reforming of alcohols is much higher than that of a Pt/α-MoC1-x load-type catalyst on the α-MoC1-x carrier on which Pt is disposed on a layer form in the prior art. The hydrogen production performance of the catalyst provided in the present application can be higher than 20,000 h−1 at the temperature of 190° C.

Abstract: A system and method for the conversion of a levulinate ester to maleic anhydride using a reducible oxide catalyst. Levulinic acid oxidation delivers maleic anhydride in good yields without viscosity and stability issues that make continuous production problematic. Abstract: Disclosed is a method of hydrotreating a heavy hydrocarbon feedstock using a hydrotreating catalyst having specific properties that make it effective in converting nitrogen, sulfur and micro-carbon residue of a heavy hydrocarbon feedstock. The catalyst comprises a calcined support particle impregnated with a Group 6 metal component (e.g., molybdenum), a nickel component, and a phosphorus component present at concentrations in the catalyst such that the atomic ratio of the Group 6 metal-to nickel metal are within a specified range. The nickel metal acid extractability property of the catalyst is at least 50 percent.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydrocracking catalyst for hydrocarbon oil comprising a support containing a framework-substituted zeolite-1 in which zirconium atoms and/or hafnium atoms form a part of a framework of an ultrastable y-type zeolite and a hydrogenative metal component carried thereon and a method for producing the same. The hydrocracking catalyst of the present invention makes it easy to diffuse heavy hydrocarbon oils such as VGO, DAO and the like into mesopores, is improved in a cracking activity and makes it possible to obtain a middle distillate at a high yield as compared with catalysts prepared by using zeolite comprising titanium and/or zirconium carried thereon.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for making chromium-containing dehydrogenation catalysts using chromium feedstocks that need not include chromium(VI). The disclosure also relates to the catalysts made thereby, as well as to dehydrogenation methods using such catalysts. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method includes providing a formable mixture comprising, on a dry basis, an aluminum hydroxide, present in an amount within the range of about 40 wt. % to about 90 wt. %; an acid (e.g., nitric acid), present in an amount within the range of about 2 wt. % to about 15 wt. %; and a chromium(III) source, present in an amount within the range of about 2 wt. % to about 35 wt. %; forming the formable mixture; and calcining the formed mixture. In certain embodiments, the method further includes impregnating the calcined mixture with an aqueous impregnation solution including a chromium(III) salt; and calcining the impregnated mixture.
