Abstract:
Catalysts which include nanoparticles of palladium metal and cellulose derivatives are used in electroless metal plating. The palladium catalysts are free of tin.
Abstract:
The present invention is a metal colloid solution comprising: colloidal particles consisting of metal particles consisting of one or two or more metal(s) and a protective agent bonding to the metal particles; and a solvent as a dispersion medium of the colloidal particles, wherein: a chloride ion concentration per a metal concentration of 1 mass % is 25 ppm or less; and a nitrate ion concentration per a metal concentration of 1 mass % is 7500 ppm or less. In the present invention, adsorption performance can be improved with adjustment of the amount of the protective agent of the colloidal particles. It is preferable to bind the protective agent of 0.2 to 2.5 times the mass of the metal particles.
Abstract:
A reactor (1) for preparing phosgene by gas-phase reaction of carbon monoxide and chlorine in the presence of a solid catalyst, which reactor has a bundle of parallel catalyst tubes (2) aligned in the longitudinal direction of the reactor whose ends are fixed in tube plates (3) and have a cap (4) at each end of the reactor (1), and has deflection plates (6) which are aligned perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the reactor in the intermediate space (5) between the catalyst tubes (2) and leave free passages (7) located alternately opposite one another on the interior wall of the reactor, and in which the catalyst tubes (2) are charged with the solid catalyst, the gaseous reaction mixture is passed from one end of the reactor via one cap (4) through the catalyst tubes (2) and is taken off from the opposite end of the reactor (1) via the second cap (4) and a liquid heat transfer medium is passed through the intermediate space (5) around the catalyst tubes (2), where the reactor (1) has no tubes in the region of the passages (7), is proposed.
Abstract:
This invention describes a process for the preparation of a catalytic composition that can be used for oligomerization, codimerization, or polymerization of olefins. This invention also describes the catalytic composition that can be obtained by said process for the preparation and its use for oligomerization, codimerization, or polymerization of olefins.
Abstract:
This invention concerns a promoted catalyst system for making one or more alkanols from synthesis gas. The catalyst system contains a ruthenium compound and a halogen promoter dispersed in a low-melting tetraorganophosphonium salt. The halogen promoter is a compound capable of generating HX (where X═Cl, Br, or I) under reaction conditions. The invention also concerns a process for selectively preparing one or more alkanols from synthesis gas using the promoted catalyst system.

The metallic nanoparticles have diameters ranging from about 1 nm to about 500 nm and are typically selected from the group including Ag, Ni, Co, Au, W, Mo, Mn and combinations thereof.
Abstract:
Disclosed are catalysts for hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons comprising at least one carrier, at least one active metallic component supported on the at least one carrier, and at least one silane group; and wherein the at least one active metallic component is chosen from palladium, platinum, nickel, copper, and ruthenium; the at least one silane group is grafted to the catalyst by silylation and is present in an amount ranging from 0.05% to 25% by weight relative to the total weight of the catalyst. Also disclosed are processes for the preparation of the catalysts and processes using the catalysts for hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons.
Abstract:
Novel α-diimine metal complexes, particularly iron complexes, having a phenyl sulfidyl or substituted phenyl sulfidyl metal complexing group are disclosed. The α-diimine metal complexes having a phenyl sulfidyl or substituted phenyl sulfidyl metal complexing group are produced by forming one of the α-diimine metal complex imine bonds in the presence of a metal salt or an α-acylimine metal complex. The α-diimine metal complexes having phenyl sulfidyl or substituted phenyl sulfidyl metal complexing group are useful for polymerizing or oligomerizing olefins.
Abstract:
To aim to provide a photocatalyst coating composition having a predefined photocatalytic function, which is to be formed as a coating film after being applied to a substrate and dried. The photocatalyst coating composition can improve adhesion property and abrasion resistance of the coating film. There is also provided a photocatalyst coating composition that has a shorter drying time after applied. The present invention provides a photocatalyst coating composition that is composed of a blend including: a graft copolymer of PTFE and perfluoro acid selected from the group consisting of perfluorosulfonic acid and perfluorocarbonic acid; a photocatalyst material; and at least one fluororesin selected from the group consisting of PVDF, PVF, PTFE, ETFE, PVDF-HFP, PCTFE, trifluorochloroethylene-alkyl vinyl ether copolymer, tetrafluoroethylene-alkyl vinyl ether copolymer, and trifluorochloroethylene-alkyl vinyl ether-alkyl vinyl ester copolymer.
