Abstract:
This invention provides a sensor attachment device that can be easily attached and detached, a sensor and a light emitting device for a photo-electrical sensor. By downward displacement of an operation member after tip ends of a pair of locking hooks are locked to a sensor main body by inserting the sensor main body into an insertion opening with second regions of a pair of facing surfaces respectively facing toward external surfaces of central portions of the pair of locking hooks, the central portions of the pair of locking hooks can be pressed inwardly by first regions of the pair of facing surfaces, thereby fixing the sensor main body to a holding member. Accordingly, the attachment of the sensor main body is easy in comparison with the conventional configuration in which a nut is screwed onto the sensor main body, then rotated and fastened.
Abstract:
A goniophotometer includes two independent towers: a main support tower and an upright mirror tower. A swing arm is connected to the main support tower and can be rotated around a main horizontal axis. An elliptic flat rotation mirror, a first detector and a second detector are fixed to the swing arm. A test light source that is also connected to the main support tower can be rotated around a vertical axis. An upright round mirror is connected to the upright mirror tower. A far-field measurement can be achieved when a light beam from the test light source travels into the rotation mirror then is reflected to the upright mirror, and then is reflected by the upright mirror to the first detector. A near field measurement is achieved when the second detector receives a test light beam directly form the test light source.
Abstract:
A light control apparatus for controlling incident light passing through an aperture includes a substrate having the aperture, a plurality of incident light control members that are moved respectively in different planes perpendicular to an optical axis direction on the substrate, a plurality of drive members that drive the incident light control members, and separating members that separate, with a certain gap, moving spaces in which the plurality of incident light control members moves in the respective planes. The plurality of incident light control members are each moved by the drive members between an aperture position and a retracted position away from the aperture position.

A receptacle assembly for a twist-lock photocontrol that is mounted on a luminaire housing. The assembly includes a receptacle and a spring clamp. The receptacle has a disc portion with a hub extending from the central portion of the back side, a perimeter side wall with a castellated bottom edge that engages stops on the luminaire housing. Three fingers extend from the back side of the disc and terminate at a lip edge. The spring clamp has a substantially flat, ring-shaped body that includes a top surface, an opening, an inner edge, an outer edge, and at least one pair of spring members. The receptacle is attached to a luminaire housing using the spring clamp. The orientation of the receptacle can be adjusted and can be locked into a stationary position without tools.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a socket, test device and test method for testing electronic element packages with leads, and particularly relates to a socket, test device and test method for testing image sensors with leads. The test device comprises a socket, a plurality of test probes and a test circuit board. The socket comprises a base having a plurality of first holes, a guiding structure having a plurality of second holes and at least one floating member used to connect the base and the guiding structure. In the socket, test device and test method of the present invention, each test probe is received into one first hole and one second hole to maintain the top surface of guiding structure to be even for preventing the deflective placing of the electronic element packages, and for preventing the damage to the test probes. The test probes are controlled by compressing the floating member for protruding form the top surface of the guiding structure and for providing a shorter delivering path of the electronic signals between the test circuit board and the electronic element packages. This shorter delivering path of the electronic signals can improve the accuracy and reliability of the test process for the electronic element packages with leads.

A device that automatically tracks the position of the sun for solar modules is described. The device comprises a substructure, a revolving platform that is rotatably mounted on the substructure, an optical sensor and a pivoting frame that is located on the revolving platform. A rotary drive rotates the revolving platform and a pivoting drive pivots the frame up and down. The device is extremely compact and robust and is particularly suitable for mounting on vehicles.
Abstract:
A pyranometer for measuring solar irradiance at a selected site comprises a light detector adapted to produce an output signal in response to incident solar radiation, a reversible motor having a curved shadowband attached to its output shaft, means for mounting the light detector and motor so that the shadowband is at a fixed distance from the light detector; and a motor controller that is adapted to periodically cause the motor to rotate the shadowband from one to the other of two limit positions, with the shadowband acting to momentarily shadow the light detector during its movement between its two limit positions. A datalogger stores and processes the light detector's signal output to provide a measure of total horizontal, direct normal and horizontal diffuse solar irradiance.
Abstract:
In an embodiment according to the present invention, a coronagraph for detecting reflective bodies external to a light source is provided. A first mirror for directing a beam of light onto an occulting mask is adjusted based on a data from a fiber optic sensor or a second sensor. An occulting mask for separating the beam into a first and second portion directs the first portion onto a fiber optic sensor and the second portion onto a Lyot stop. The occulting mask is adjustable based on data from the second sensor. The Lyot stop separates the second portion of the beam into a third and fourth portion. The Lyot stop also directs the third portion of the beam onto the second sensor and the fourth portion of the beam onto a camera for detecting one or more reflective bodies external to a light source.
Abstract:
The inventive sensor device includes a support structure, a sensing element mounted on the support substrate for sensing optical radiation and generating an electrical output signal in response thereto, and an encapsulant encapsulating the sensing element on the support structure. The encapsulant being configured to define a lens portion for focusing incident optical radiation onto an active surface of the sensing element, and an optical radiation collector portion surrounding the lens portion for collecting and redirecting optical radiation that is not incident the lens portion onto the active surface of the sensing element. The collector portion may be a parabolic reflector that reflects incident light by total internal reflection. The sensor device may be incorporated into an assembly including a diffuser positioned across an aperture, and/or may be incorporated into a vehicle accessory such as a rearview mirror assembly.
