Abstract: Provided is a training device that suppresses unintended operation of an operation rod when executing an operation mode in which the operation of the operation rod is controlled based on a force applied to the operation rod. The training device includes the operation rod, a motor, a force detection unit, a rotation information output sensor, a first command calculation unit, and a force correction unit. The operation rod moves a limb. The motor operates the operation rod in a direction of degree of freedom. The force detection unit detects a force component and outputs a force component signal. The rotation information output sensor detects an operation position of the operation rod in a corresponding direction of degree of freedom. The force correction unit calculates a corrected force component value based on the operation positions of the operation rod and the force component signal. The first command calculation unit calculates a first motor control command based on the corrected force component value.

Abstract: Examples described herein include defibrillators or other medical equipment that may employ hidden Markov models to classify cardiac rhythms in ECG signals. Hidden Markov models may additionally or instead be used to determine presence of a chest compression from the thoracic impedance signal. Classification of cardiac rhythms may be used to determine when to deliver a shock to a patient. Other applications are also described.

Abstract: A leg support exoskeleton is strapped on as wearable device to support its user during squatting. The exoskeleton includes a knee joint connected to a first line and a second link, which is configured to allow flexion and extension motion between the first link and the second link. A force generator has a first end that is rotatably connected to the first link. A constraining mechanism is connected to the second link and has at least two operational positions. In a first operational position, the second end of the force generator engages the constraining mechanism, where the first link and the second link flex relative to each other. In a second operational position, the second end of the force generator does not engage the constraining mechanism; the first link and the second link are free to flex and extend relative to each other.

Abstract: Disclosed is a sequential compression massage device using a stacked member which repeatedly applies compression force to a human body (10). The message includes: a driving unit for rotatably supporting a shake rod on an upper plate and a lower plate connected to each other through a guide rod; a pressing unit for maintaining a plurality of pressing plates in a stacked state on the driving unit by positioning the guide rod and the shake rod (34) in the pressing plates; and a control unit for sequentially shaking the pressing plates. Abstract: A gait training apparatus includes: a walking assistance device that is attached to a leg portion of a user and assists walking of the user; a peripheral device used for gait training of the user; a control unit that controls the walking assistance device and the peripheral device; and a switching unit that switches the control unit between a cooperative control mode for performing a cooperative control of the walking assistance device and the peripheral device based on information output from the walking assistance device, and an operation mode for controlling the peripheral device based on set operation information. When the control unit is switched to the operation mode by the switching unit, the control unit executes the control of the peripheral device even when the control unit is in a non-connected state with the walking assistance device.
