Abstract:
In the voice coil motor and the interference spectrophotometer according to the invention, the angular deviation between the movable and fixed mirrors can always be suppressed to one second or less. The voice coil motor is provided with: a static unit 71 including a yoke 73 having a cylindrical part 73a fixed to the static unit 71 and a magnet 74 disposed in the cylindrical part 73a fixed to the static unit 71; a movable unit 72 including a circular coil 72b fixed thereto, the circular coil 72b disposed between the cylindrical part 73a of the yoke 73 and the magnet 74; and a power supply line 72c for connecting the coil 72b to a power supply. The cylindrical part 73a of the yoke 73 has a slit 73c through which the power supply line 72c is to pass is created, the movable unit 72 is configured to reciprocally move relative to the static unit 71 in response to an electromagnetic force generated by the magnet 74 in conjunction with the activated coil 72b, and another slit 73d is created in the cylindrical part 73a of the yoke 73 in such a manner that the slits 73c,73d are symmetrical with respect to a central axis of the cylindrical part 73a.
Abstract:
A spectrum measuring device including a ribbon element, a light detection element, and circuitry. The ribbon element includes a first light reflector including a plurality of first light reflection surfaces configured to be translated in an out-of-plane direction, and a second light reflector including a plurality of second light reflection surfaces that are fixed. The circuitry supplies a drive signal to the ribbon element in such a manner that a change of a displacement amount difference between the first light reflection surfaces and the second light reflection surfaces corresponds to a predetermined frequency; and acquires the light quantity data detected by the light detection element at a predetermined sampling frequency.
Abstract:
A fiber grating demodulation system for enhancing spectral resolution of a detector array, includes a laser pump source, a wavelength division multiplexer, a fiber Bragg grating, a diaphragm, a slit, a collimating mirror, a light splitting grating, an imaging focus mirror, and a linear array detector. The laser pump source, the wavelength division multiplexer, and the fiber Bragg grating are connected in sequence, and the wavelength division multiplexer is connected to the diaphragm. Light emitted from the laser pump source is multiplexed by the wavelength division multiplexer and then enters the fiber Bragg grating. A reflection spectrum of the fiber Bragg grating enters the slit of the fiber grating demodulation system as injected light. After passing through the slit, the injected light is reflected by the collimating mirror. The light splitting grating, and the imaging focus mirror in sequence, and is finally converged to the linear array detector.

Abstract:
Example embodiments of a large dynamic range sequential wavefront sensor for vision correction or assessment procedures are disclosed. An example embodiment includes first and second optically coupled 4F relays and a variable focus lens disposed substantially at the image plane of the first 4F relay and the object plane of the second 4F relay.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a wavefront sensor is combined with a slit lamp eye examination device so that real time aberration values of an eye being examined can be viewed during a slit lamp eye examination session.
Abstract:
An wavefront including a light source for providing a light beam to illuminate a subject eye and a beam deflecting to deflect the light beam to compensate transverse movement of the subject eye. A second beam deflecting element scans the beam around a small portion of the retina to dissipate energy.
Abstract:
A spectrometer is provided. In one implementation, for example, a spectrometer comprises an excitation source, a focusing lens, a movable mirror, and an actuator assembly. The focusing lens is adapted to focus an incident beam from the excitation source. The actuator assembly is adapted to control the movable mirror to move a focused incident beam across a surface of the sample.
