Abstract: The disclosure relates to an optical spectrometer for spectrally resolved two-dimensional imaging of an object, comprising a dispersing device arranged to disperse radiation from object, a multi-lens array arrangement arranged to receive the dispersed radiation from the dispersing device, a two-dimensional detector arranged to receive 5 the dispersed radiation as directed by the multi-lens array arrangement, wherein the optical spectrometer further comprises a collimating arrangement for collimating the radiation from object before the radiation reaches the dispersing device, the collimating arrangement comprising a diffusing plate for diffusing the radiation and an optical micro-channel arranged to receive the diffused radiation comprising a plurality 10 of parallel and linear optical micro-channels directed towards the dispersing device. The disclosure further relates to a method for spectrally resolved two-dimensional imaging of an object.

Abstract: A mirror unit 2 includes a mirror device 20 including a base 21 and a movable mirror 22, an optical function member 13, and a fixed mirror 16 that is disposed on a side opposite to the mirror device 20 with respect to the optical function member 13. The mirror device 20 is provided with a light passage portion 24 that constitutes a first portion of an optical path between the beam splitter unit 3 and the fixed mirror 16. The optical function member 13 is provided with a light transmitting portion 14 that constitutes a second portion of the optical path between the beam splitter unit 3 and the fixed mirror 16. A second surface 21b of the base 21 and a third surface 13a of the optical function member 13 are joined to each other.

Abstract: A measurement system may comprise an actively illuminated camera system, in some embodiments coupled to a time-of-flight sensor or an array of laser diodes beam split into a plurality of spatially separated lights. The camera system may capture two or three dimensional images, and the light source may comprise semiconductor diodes, such as light emitting diodes. The system includes a processor coupled to non-transitory computer readable medium and configured to use artificial intelligence to make one or more decisions. The processing may also involve artificial intelligence or machine learning techniques to analyze anomalous occurrences, or generative artificial intelligence to interface with a user or improve the performance of camera-based systems. Algorithms may also be used to improve the performance of generative artificial intelligence processing. The camera output may be fused with data from other sensors, and the camera may also capture information about the pose or gestures of a user.

Abstract: A measurement system is provided with an array of laser diodes with one or more Bragg reflectors. At least a portion of the light generated by the array is configured to penetrate tissue comprising skin. A detection system configured to: measure a phase shift, and a time-of-flight, of at least a portion of the light from the array of laser diodes reflected from the tissue relative to the portion of the light generated by the array; generate one or more images of the tissue; detect oxy- or deoxy-hemoglobin in the tissue; non-invasively measure blood in blood vessels within or below a dermis layer within the skin; measure one or more physiological parameters based at least in part on the non-invasively measured blood; and measure a variation in the blood or physiological parameter over a period of time.

At least one of the actuation systems is a rapid actuation system that includes a rapid actuator configured to rotate its associated refractive optical element about a rotation axis. The rapid actuator includes a rotary stepper motor having a rotation shaft that rotates about a shaft axis that is parallel with the rotation axis of the associated refractive optical element.

Abstract: An apparatus for measuring time-resolved optical spectrum includes a light source, a sensor for collecting, forming, manipulating and measuring the intensity of the optical radiation, and a controller coupled to the light source and sensor. The sensor includes at least one optical delay element to provide a time delay to a first portion of the optical radiation. The sensor arrangement further includes an optical spectral disperser to split the delayed first portion and the second portion of the optical radiation into dispersed radiation having a plurality of wavelengths, and a sensor element configured to receive each wavelength of the dispersed radiation on a different spatial region, and measure the light intensity associated with each wavelength of the dispersed radiation. The controller collects the light intensity associated with each wavelength of the dispersed radiation measured by the sensor element to form a time-resolved optical spectrum.
