Abstract: This invention relates to a bone regeneration product comprising at least one stem cell, at least one scaffold, and at least one stem cell. The stem cells suitable for this invention may comprise stem cells suitable for a dense bone regeneration, stem cells suitable for a spongy bone regeneration, or a combination thereof. The bone regeneration product may further comprise a growth factor. This invention also relates to a bone regeneration method and treatment of any bone that has a critical size defect. This invention also relates to a scaffold. This invention further relates to a 3D printed scaffold comprising hydroxyapatite (HA) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP). This invention also relates to a scaffold comprising a polymer. The polymer of this invention may be prepared by using photocurable polymers and/or monomers. The scaffold of this invention may comprise a growth factor and a small molecule. The small molecule N may be a Smurf1 inhibitor.

Abstract: A surgical instrument, and methods for its use, is described that includes clamp heads that can be nestled within or extended from a tubular sheath by longitudinal movement of the clamp heads' tines with respect to the tubular sheath. One of the tines includes an arch that slides against a mouth and inside wall of the tubular sheath, causing the clamp heads to open or close. The clamp heads close lightly, to within a predetermined (or zero) distance from one another, gently grasp an ultrathin polymer substrate seeded with cells, and pulls it within the sheath such that the substrate curls and folds to protect the cells.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing safety-aware artificial intelligence (AI) that can be used for autonomously controlling systems, such as an autonomous vehicle, in a manner that is proven to satisfy given safety constraints. Additionally, a safety-aware training technique can be applied to learned AI-based models, such as neural networks. The safety-aware training techniques can apply automated reasoning tools (ART) while the AI model is trained, in order to produce a model that is provable safe with respect to the safety constraints. The ART can integrate verification into the training process, and thereby dynamically re-train the model based on the safety verification in a feedback loop approach. The ART can be configured to either verify that the AI model is provably safety, or to provide updates to the training parameters used during to re-train the AI model in instances when the safety verification has failed.

Abstract: A control system includes a target spacecraft and a swarm of chaser spacecraft. Each chaser spacecraft is controlled to follow a corresponding computed trajectory. The system also includes at least one computing device that executes a nested genetic algorithm. The nested genetic algorithm includes multiple guidance genetic algorithms and an outer genetic algorithm. Characteristically, each chaser spacecraft has an associated guidance genetic algorithm that determines a computed trajectory for the chaser spacecraft associated therewith. Advantageously, the outer genetic algorithm checks for collisions and is configured to alter one or more computed trajectories to avoid collisions.

Abstract: Compounds comprising a first ligand and a second ligand; wherein the first ligand coordinates to a first metal through a first metal-carbene bond; the second ligand coordinates to a second metal through a second metal-carbene bond; the second ligand also coordinates to the first metal; the first ligand can link to the second ligand to form a multidentate ligand; and the first metal and the second metal are each independently selected from the group consisting of Au, Ag, and Cu can act as electron acceptors in tandem to increase the energy separation between the ground and excited state, which is higher than those found in analogous monometallic complexes. These compounds should find application as luminescent materials in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).
