Abstract:
Provided is an automatic head care apparatus for caring person's head in an effective and reliable manner in accordance with the shape of person's head. In order to achieve the object, an automatic head care apparatus of the present invention comprises a bowl 101 having a head support for supporting a person's head; a washing unit 12L configured by fourth arms 309L, 310L, 317L, 320L comprising a plurality of contacts 109 at an end thereof and a rotation gear having a central axis thereof for rotating the contacts 109, third arms 107L, 108L for rotatably supporting the fourth arms 309L, 310L, 317L, 320L, a support shaft for rotatably supporting the third arms 107L, 108L, a pushing mechanism for moving the support shaft, and a motor 301L for oscillating the contacts by rotating the rotation gear of the fourth arms 309L, 310L, 317L, 320L; and a control device 700 for controlling movement of at least the pushing mechanism.
Abstract:
A hand held movable water treatment device for tightening the facial and neck skin of an individual by directing multiple streams of pressurized hot and cold water onto selected parts of an individual's face and neck. The device includes a generally circular support member and two circular concentric circular tubular elements disposed on said support member and interconnected and wherein each of the tubular elements includes a plurality of outwardly directed fine openings for directing fine sprays of alternately heated and cooled pressurized streams of water onto selected parts of an individual's face and neck. In addition, the device includes a source of water under pressure, a water heater for heating a portion of the pressurized water and a flexible one-half inch hose connecting the pressurized heated water to each of the tubular elements and a valve. A valve is disposed between the source of pressurized heated water and the tubular elements for connecting and disconnecting said pressurized heated water to and from the tubular elements.
Abstract:
A device having a first stimulation unit that generates electrical first stimuli suppressing a pathological synchronous activity of neurons in the brain and/or spinal cord of a patient upon administering the same to the brain and/or spinal cord of the patient, a second stimulation unit that generates optical and/or acoustic and/or tactile and/or vibratory second stimuli, and a controller that controls the first and the second stimulation units. The generation of the first and second stimuli optionally occurs in a first or in a second operating mode, and the controller actuates the first and the second stimulation units such that in the first operating mode the generation of at least 60% of the second stimuli is chronologically coupled to the generation of the first stimuli, and in the second operating mode the generation of at least 60% of the second stimuli is carried out without generating the first stimuli.
Abstract:
Devices, systems and methods are described which control blood pressure and nervous system activity by stimulating baroreceptors. By selectively and controllably activating baroreceptors and/or nerves, the present invention reduces blood pressure and alters the sympathetic nervous system; thereby minimizing deleterious effects on the heart, vasculature and other organs and tissues. A baroreceptor activation device or other sensory activation device is positioned near a dermal bone to provide the treatment.
Abstract:
A circulation facilitating apparatus comprising a pneumatic assembly and first and second leg assemblies. The pneumatic assembly comprises a pump assembly, a control assembly, an air controller assembly and an energizing assembly. The control assembly controls the pump assembly. The control assembly includes a microprocessor and a system for programming the microprocessor. The programming system programs at least a cycle time and at least a hold time. The air controller assembly is coupled to the pump assembly. Each leg assembly includes a bladder, an air passage assembly, a housing, and pulse and/or temperature sensors. A treatment method is likewise disclosed.
Abstract:
Described are improved apparatus and devices for intermittently and sequentially compressing a body site and methods for using said apparatus and devices, especially for site specific treatment to achieve a desired temperature of the underlying tissue. The apparatus includes a first segment cooperative with a fluid chamber, the fluid chamber adapted for inflation by fluid; and a second segment cooperative with the first segment, the second segment housing a temperature sensitive material, wherein the temperature sensitive material is uniquely compartmentalized in the second segment.
Abstract:
Apparatus for external activation of paralyzed body parts by stimulation of peripheral nerves which comprises a soft apparel provided with multi-pad electrodes on one side and activating means on the other side, wherein the activating means are adapted to allow activation and control of a delivered electrical pulse to each multi-pad electrode separately.
Abstract:
A method for controlling massage apparatus and a massage apparatus are provided. The method includes presetting multiple temperature modes of infrared hot compress and a number of pulses corresponding to the multiple temperature modes; receiving the temperature mode (S21) selected by a user; outputting a pulse corresponding to the selected temperature mode to make the infrared hot compress operate in the temperature mode (S21) corresponding to the pulse. The temperature of the infrared hot compress may be regulated by this method.
Abstract:
A hip traction device, system, and associated methods are disclosed. Such a device may include a base having a proximal end and a distal end, a guide coupled to the base, a carrier configured to move along the guide upon receiving a force from a tensioner to move the carrier toward the distal end of the base, causing a leg to be put in tension, and a single body coupling mechanism either removably attachable or permanently attached to the carrier and configured to securely attach to a lower portion of a leg, such that the portion of the leg moves with the carrier during operation of the tensioner.
Abstract:
A body massage apparatus is provided with a housing. A massage unit is provided in the housing. A pair of laterally spaced apart air bladders is provided on the housing with the massage unit oriented between the air bladders.
