Abstract: A robotic lifting and orienting system for an overspray-free paint system includes: a base coupled to wheels; and an automated carrier coupled to the base. The automated carrier includes: a fixture assembly configured to hold an object to be painted; one or more manipulators configured to move the fixture assembly relative to a paint robot; a propulsion system connected to the wheels and configured to move the robotic lifting and orienting system; and a control module configured to control the one or more manipulators and the propulsion system to control positioning and orienting of the object relative to at least one of the paint robot and an overspray-free paint applicator of the paint robot.

Abstract: In processing a peripheral edge part of a substrate by a processing liquid, upward scattered liquid droplets may be produced. Accordingly, in the invention, the processing liquid is caused to land on the peripheral edge part of the substrate from a discharge port while the discharge port is positioned to a bevel processing position lower than an eaves part of a cup in a vertical direction with the peripheral edge part of the substrate covered vertically from above by the eaves part. Thus, the eaves part collects upward scattered liquid droplets. As a result, the re-adhesion of the upward scattered liquid droplets to the substrate and the scattering thereof to a surrounding atmosphere are suppressed.

Abstract: An embodiment of a line-of-sight coating fixture includes a support structure, a spindle, and a shadow structure. The support structure includes a plurality of compartments disposed below a platter, each compartment having an opening on a periphery of the support structure. Each compartment is adapted to receive and secure a base of a workpiece such that a body of each workpiece to be coated is disposed about a periphery of the support structure and extends above the platter. The spindle is disposed through a center of the platter or support structure for rotating the workpieces thereabout. The shadow structure is disposed about the spindle, inside of the periphery, the shadow structure sized and adapted to shield a portion of each workpiece from line-of-sight coating material.

Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a holding unit, a nozzle, a driving unit, and a controller. The holding unit holds a substrate. The nozzle supplies a processing liquid to the substrate held on the holding unit. The driving unit moves the nozzle. Abstract: The present invention relates to a grease application device in which a tip-side inclined surface of a nozzle 28 is made to closely face worm wheel teeth 11 of a shaft-mounted worm wheel 9 while rotating the shaft-mounted worm wheel 9 by means of a drive unit 12. At this state, the grease application device is configured to apply liquid grease from a tip-side opening of the nozzle 28 to the worm wheel teeth 11 of the shaft-mounted worm wheel 9 and to apply the grease while pushing the grease into concave portions of the worm wheel teeth 11. Also, the grease application device is configured to end the application of the grease at a point of time at which the shaft-mounted worm wheel has rotated one revolution with respect to the nozzle 28 after starting the application of the grease to the shaft-mounted worm wheel 9.

Abstract: A coating apparatus for coating the balloon portion of a balloon catheter is described. The coating apparatus includes a rotatable member in which the catheter portion of the balloon catheter is mounted and fixed, and which causes rotation of the balloon catheter. The apparatus also includes a support member in which the distal tip of the catheter is inserted and free to rotate; and a spray nozzle directing sprayed material on the balloon surface. The inventive configuration of the coating apparatus allows the balloon catheter to be rotated along its axis with insubstantial or no wobble, which significantly improves the quality of the coating applied to the surface of the balloon.
