Abstract: In one embodiment, modular light emitting diode (LED) display panel includes a plurality of LEDs is attached to a printed circuit board. A power supply is coupled to the plurality of LEDs and configured to receive direct current (DC) power. A scan controller is coupled to the plurality of LEDs, where the scan controller is configured to control operation of the plurality of LEDs in order to display received media. A housing is attached to the printed circuit board, and includes an outer major surface of the modular LED display panel and is configured to be exposed to an external environment without a protective cabinet. A waterproof integrated data and power connector is electrically coupled to the power supply, the scan controller, and to the plurality of LEDs. The modular LED display panel has an ingress protection rating of IP 65 or higher, and is cooled passively without fans.

Abstract: A display device and a method for manufacturing a display device are provided. The method includes: forming a material layer on a first face of a display panel; forming a touch panel and a polarizer sequentially on a second face of the display panel, the display panel having an end projecting beyond lateral faces of the touch panel and the polarizer; removing a portion of the material layer located in a first area on the display panel, the first area being located out of an effective display region of the display panel; and bending the first area of the display panel towards the first face such that a second area and a third area of the display panel are located on both sides of the material layer respectively, wherein the second area and the third area are connected to two ends of the first area respectively.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a detection device includes a substrate, detection electrode, terminal formed of a metal material, lead, coating layer, conductive adhesion layer, and circuit board. The lead connects the electrode and the terminal. The coating layer covers the electrode and the lead, and partly covers the terminal. The adhesion layer covers a part of the terminal exposed from the coating layer and covers a part of the coating layer. The circuit board is connected to the terminal with the adhesion layer interposed therebetween. At least in an overlapping area where the adhesion layer covers the coating layer, an area of the metal material per unit area is smaller than that of the other area of the terminal.

Abstract: A PCB underneath the display panel includes a plurality of insulation layers and one or more metal layers disposed between two adjacent insulation layers out of the plurality of insulation layers. A lower structure is disposed between the display panel and the PCB. At least a portion of a metal layer among the one or more metal layers that is most adjacent to the lower structure is exposed, and the lower structure is electrically connected to the exposed portion of the metal layer. Such exposed portion of the metal layer is electrically connected to the lower structure, so that the area where the PCB is referenced to the ground potential is increased. As a result, residual voltage, residual current in the PCB and noise caused by electromagnetic fields generated thereby can be reduced.

Abstract: A stacked body including an organic film stacked on and in contact with an inorganic substrate, a wiring pattern, a first resin layer, a light-emitting element layer, and a second resin layer is prepared. The inorganic substrate is detached from the organic film. The stacked body from which the inorganic substrate is detached, an anisotropic conductive layer containing conductive particles having a diameter larger than the thickness of the organic film, and a wiring terminal of a flexible wiring board are disposed on top one another. The stacked body, the anisotropic conductive layer, and the flexible wiring board disposed are thermocompression bonded to cause the conductive particles to enter the organic film, and the wiring pattern and the wiring terminal are electrically connected by means of the conductive particles.

Abstract: A display device using a semiconductor light emitting device and a method of fabricating the semiconductor light emitting device are disclosed. The display device includes a substrate, a plurality of first electrodes disposed on the substrate, an anisotropic conductive film disposed on the substrate provided with the first electrodes, a plurality of semiconductor light emitting devices disposed on the anisotropic conductive film layer, electrically connected to the first electrodes, and constituting individual pixels, and a plurality of second electrodes disposed between the semiconductor light emitting devices and electrically connected to the semiconductor light emitting devices. Thus, alignment of the semiconductor light emitting device array may be simplified by use of an anisotropic conductive film Due to excellent brightness, the semiconductor light emitting devices, which are small in size, may form individual sub-pixels. In addition, the distance between the semiconductor light emitting devices is sufficiently long to embody a flexible display device.
