Abstract: An auricular peripheral nerve field stimulator includes an electrical stimulation device for generating electrical stimulation signals, at least one therapy electrode electrically coupled to the stimulation device and configured for percutaneous insertion into an auricle of a human ear near at least one neurovascular bundle, a processor, and a memory with software executable by the processor to (i) control the stimulation device to generate and deliver to the inserted at least one therapy electrode the stimulation signals at a selected frequency with one of a positive and a negative pulse relative to a reference to stimulate at least one auricular peripheral nerve field within the auricle, (ii) continually repeat (i) for a first duration, (iii) following expiration of the first duration, control the stimulation device to generate no stimulation signals for a second duration, and (iv) repeat (i) through (iii) with the stimulation signals having a modulated frequency.

Abstract: Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices facilitate fluid circulation in a body by providing alternating higher pressure and a lower or no pressure in an associated inflatable cuff. A source of air at a pressure less than 130% of the higher pressure at the inflatable cuff communicates to the inflatable cuff through a large-cross-section, continuously-open passageway. A large vent valve on that passageway opens for a lower or no pressure condition and closes to achieve a higher pressure within 0.1 second. For the lower or no pressure state, the vent valve not only vents the inflatable cuff, but also vents continuing air flow from the source of air pressure, until the next rapid pressure rise. The periods between successive compressions are from 2 to 10 seconds, with compressions from 0.35 to 5 seconds. While most of the inflatable cuff is not transparent, portions adjacent the heel and toes are.

Abstract: Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) devices for facilitating fluid circulation in a body are disclosed. The disclosed devices provide compression by alternating between a higher pressure and a lower or no pressure in an associated inflatable cuff. Abstract: An auricular peripheral nerve field stimulator system includes an electrical stimulation device for generating electrical stimulation signals and a plurality of therapy electrodes electrically coupled thereto, each of the therapy electrodes including at least one needle for percutaneous insertion into an auricle of a human ear near at least one neurovascular bundle located therein. At least one of the therapy electrodes includes a plurality of such needles for percutaneous insertion into the auricle near the at least one neurovascular bundle. In some embodiments, at least one reference electrode electrically is coupled to the electrical stimulation device and includes at least one needle for percutaneous insertion into or adjacent the auricle to provide a ground reference for the electrical stimulation device. The generated electrical stimulation signals are, in any case, delivered by the percutaneously inserted needles to stimulate at least one auricular peripheral nerve field within the auricle.

Abstract: A motorized stretching machine for enabling a user to perform stretches targeting areas throughout their body includes a metal base frame with an integral slide track on which a motor driven foot rest apparatus is mounted, a plurality of hand grip frames that enables many different hand grips, and a plurality of foot stands. A plurality of push buttons are disposed in various locations on the right side and left side to allow the user to control the operation of the motor driven foot rest apparatus. The varied positioning of the push buttons facilitates full control during stretches and full stability because the user can hold onto other parts of the machine to assist with balance while actuating the motor control buttons. Advantageously, the overall design helps users engage selected muscle groups without losing balance or flexing any other muscles so the user can enjoy a full stretch.
