An alternator, such as for use in an electrostatic spray gun, comprises an alternator housing, a stator, a rotor, a shaft, a first bearing and a sheath. The stator is inserted into the alternator housing and has an inner diameter and an outer diameter. The rotor is disposed within the inner diameter of the stator. The shaft extends from the rotor and is rotatably supported by a first bearing. The sheath surrounds the outer diameter, supports the stator with respect to the alternator housing, and supports the bearing.

A surface treatment plant for vehicle bodies having a first treatment area which comprises a first conveyor system enabling a vehicle body to be conveyed through the first treatment area, and a second treatment area which includes a second conveyor system enabling the vehicle body to be conveyed through the second treatment area. A transfer device enables the vehicle body to be transferred from the first conveyor system to the second conveyor system. The transfer device includes supports which engage on regions of the vehicle body and at least one is arranged in particular on the highest point of the horizontal and the vehicle body is oriented roof upwards. Also a method for conveying vehicle bodies through a surface treatment plant.

A spray coating system has a wash enclosure with an enclosed wash space. A plurality of liquid tanks disperse liquids within the wash space via emitters. A spray enclosure has at least one spray port coupled to an enclosed spray space. A part hanger dimensioned to carry parts, is rotatable about a vertical axis while in the wash space and the spray space. A conveyor may be included, for example, for transporting the part hanger between the wash space and the spray space.

A process and assembly for mass producing a plasticized coated and structurally supporting insert including a first conveyor for advancing a plurality of lay-flat inserts and at least one lift and transfer mechanism for transferring the inserts between the first conveyor and a second overhead conveyor. A dual function robot is positioned astride the first conveyor and has a first numerically controlled gripping portion for engaging and raising a selected one of the lay flat supported inserts. The robot further has a second numerically controlled and articulating arm for spray coating a plasticized material upon the insert.

A material handling system includes a composite beam including an upper rail and a lower track connected through a plurality of spaced apart transverse members. A trolley includes an upper set of wheels and a lower set of wheels. The lower set of wheels is received within two parallel channels defined by the lower track. A drive tube is positioned between the upper rail and the lower track such that the upper set of wheels are in frictional engagement with the drive tube. A drive system is configured to rotate the drive tube.

There are provided a golf ball having a paint coating that is prevented from being unevenly distributed over the ball surface, and a method and apparatus for manufacturing the golf ball. The method for manufacturing the golf ball comprises the steps of coating the surface of the golf ball with paint in a painting section; transferring the coated golf ball from the painting section to a drying section; and drying the coated golf ball in the drying section. The transferring step comprises attaching the coated golf ball to a moving unit by suction in the painting section; moving the moving unit to which the golf ball is attached by suction from the painting section to the drying section; and blowing gas to the golf ball toward the direction opposite to the suction direction for attaching the golf ball to release the golf ball from the moving unit in the drying section.
