Abstract: The invention relates to curable, impact-modified epoxy resin mixtures comprising A. an aromatic epoxide compound, B. an amine curing agent, C. 10 to 40 % by weight of an aromatic, thermoplastic oligomer containing reactive groups, preferably a polyether sulfone, and D. 0.1 to 10 % by weight of a high-molecular-weight emulsifier, preferably a phenoxy resin, an epoxy resin or a thermoplastic copolymer, which is compatible both with the epoxide compound A and with the oligomer C. The epoxy resin mixtures are suitable for the production of high-performance composite materials.

(a) contg. 55-99 wt. % diphenylmethane diisocyanate isomers, with at least one trifunctional polyoxypropylene polyol (b) with a hydroxy value of 20-60. (A) are also claimed per se.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of thermoplastically mouldable rigid polyurethane foams by reacting a) organic polyisocyanates with b) a mixture of polyhydroxyl compounds containing, based on the total weight: b1) from 40 to 60 % by weight of a trifunctional polyoxyalkylene-polyol having a hydroxyl number of from 350 to 500, b2) from 15 to 30 % by weight of a difunctional polyoxyalkylene-polyol having a hydroxyl number of from 200 to 350, b3) from 5 to 20 % by weight of a difunctional or trifunctional polyoxyalkylene-polyol having a hydroxyl number of from 25 to 40, and b4) from 15 to 30 % by weight of a dialkylene glycol, in the presence of c) blowing agents, d) catalysts, e) auxiliaries and/or additives, and to the mixtures of relatively high-molecular-weight polyhydroxyl compounds which can be used for this purpose.

Abstract: Polyurethane foam is made by reacting isocyanurate-modified and/or biuret-modified polyisocyanates with polyols with a molecular weight of 400 - 8000, and at least 50% primary hydroxyl groups, at above 40 degrees C in presence of water, using a mixture of tertiary amine and metal salt as catalyst. A process for the production of polyurethane (PUR) foam comprises reacting (A) isocyanates containing isocyanurate and/or biuret structures with (B) isocyanate-reactive compounds with a molecular weight of 400 - 8000 and at least 50% primary hydroxyl groups, in presence of blowing agents, catalysts and optionally chain-extenders and/or crosslinkers, the reaction being carried out at above 40 degrees C in presence of 0.5 - 5.3 wt.% water based on the amount of component (B), using at least one tertiary amine and at least one metal salt as catalyst. Independent claims are also included for (a) foam based on polyisocyanate-polyaddition products made by this process; (b) padding material containing this foam.
