    Abstract: Polyurethane foam is made by reacting isocyanurate-modified and/or biuret-modified polyisocyanates with polyols with a molecular weight of 400 - 8000, and at least 50% primary hydroxyl groups, at above 40 degrees C in presence of water, using a mixture of tertiary amine and metal salt as catalyst. A process for the production of polyurethane (PUR) foam comprises reacting (A) isocyanates containing isocyanurate and/or biuret structures with (B) isocyanate-reactive compounds with a molecular weight of 400 - 8000 and at least 50% primary hydroxyl groups, in presence of blowing agents, catalysts and optionally chain-extenders and/or crosslinkers, the reaction being carried out at above 40 degrees C in presence of 0.5 - 5.3 wt.% water based on the amount of component (B), using at least one tertiary amine and at least one metal salt as catalyst. Independent claims are also included for (a) foam based on polyisocyanate-polyaddition products made by this process; (b) padding material containing this foam.
