Abstract: PURPOSE: A center airbag for vehicle is provided to protect the head and neck part of a passenger by preventing the bending of the neck and head using an air cushion in collision. CONSTITUTION: A center airbag for vehicle comprises a pair of seats(11,12), a console box(20), and an air cushion(30). Headrests(11a,12a) are attached to each seat. The console box comprises a top cover and an arm rest. The top cover is installed between seats. The arm rest is located on the lower part of the top cover. The air cushion is built in the console box. The air cushion opens the top cover to be inflated toward upper part. The upper section of the air cushion is inflated between headrests in order to prevent the moving of the air cushion side to side, when the air cushion is pushed toward one direction due to the movement of a passenger. The lower section(33) of the air cushion is inflated on the arm rest to be smaller than the interval of the seats.
