Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform vessel which possesses transparency and is superior in barrier properties to gas, steam and ultraviolet rays, by a method wherein the title vessel is comprised of at least two layers of thermoplastic polyester of ethylene terephthalate and a thermoplastic polyesterblend layer. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer plastic vessel is constituted of at least two layers of a thermoplastic polyester layer (layer A) at least 80mol% of which is ethylene terephthalate as a repeating unit and a thermoplastic polyesterblend layer (layer B) consisting essentially of thermoplastic polyester (a) at least 70mol% of which is ethylene isophthalate as a repeating unit and thermoplastic polyester (b) at least 80mol% of which is ethylene naphthalate as a repeating unit. Then to manufacture this multi-layer plastic vessel, a preform comprised of at least two layers A, B is molded by injection molding and the title vessel is obtained by performing orientation blow molding in at least a uniaxial direction within a temperature range of 80-120 deg.C.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve high frequency characteristics and a leak current by carrying out oxidation polymerization for aromatic compound on a surface of metallic oxide using transition metallic salt of benzenesulfonic acid having alkyl group or alkenyl group of specific number of carbons as oxidizer. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a metal (Al) foil 1 which becomes an anode is etched and a micro bore is formed to enlarge a surface area thereof. A dielectric thin film 2 of metallic oxide (Al2O3) is formed along a wallside of the bore on the surface. A layer 3 of solid electrolyte which is formed by oxidation polymerization of aromatic compound using transition metallic salt of benzenesulfonic acid having alkyl group or alkenyl group of 8C to 16C as oxidizer is formed on a surface of the dielectric thin film 2 to get deep into the bore. An electrode 5 of a metal (Ag paste) which becomes a cathode is attached to the other side of the layer 3 of solid electrolyte. A graphite layer 4 is used between the electrode 5 and the layer 3 of solid electrolyte for keeping good contact, and electrode leads 6 and 7 are attached.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain a full-conjugated type polymer film low in anisotropy and having high strength by stretching the full-conjugated type polymer film in two different directions at specific temp. and setting the area of the film after stretching to specific times that of the film before stretching. CONSTITUTION:In the case of stretching in biaxial or more directions, the tensile strength of the film is drastically enhanced until the area of a film after the finish of stretching becomes 1.1 times that of the film before stretching. When the film is further stretched and the area of the film before stretching becomes 4 times or more that of the film before stretching, a large amount of pinholes are introduced into the film and the film can not be used practically and stretching itself is difficult. From these points of view, the area of the film at the time of the finish of stretching is set to 1.1-4 times that of the film before stretching. Stretching is pref. performed in air at 50-300 deg.C, more pref., 50-200 deg.C. In the case of below 50 deg.C, only monoaxial stretching is possible but the stretching in biaxial or more directions is not pref. because the film is cut. In a temp. range exceeding 300 deg.C, the film itself causes pyrolysis.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition which can quickly absorb a large amount of an aqueous liquid and has excellent stability in a swollen state, by mixing a water-absorptive resin with a specified amine compound. CONSTITUTION:The title resin composition essentially consists of a water- absorptive resin and a phosphinic or phosphonic group-containing amine compound or its salt, wherein the content of said amine compound or salt is 0.01-10wt.% based on the dry water-absorptive resin. As said water-absorptive resin, a hydrolyzate of a starch/acrylonitrile graft polymer, a hydrolyzate of a vinyl acetate/acrylate or the like can be used, and a crosslinked polyacrylate salt is particularly desirable from the view point of water absorptivity. Examples of said amine compounds include ethylenediamine-N,N'-di(methylenephosphonic acid) and nitrilodiacetic acid-(methylenephosphonic acid). Examples of their salts include alkali metal salts, ammonium salts and amine salts.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain in high efficiency polymer granules of narrow granular size distribution along with stably retaining the polymerization system, by inverse phase suspension polymerization of a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer using, as the dispersant, a combination of a specific oil-soluble cationic copolymer and nonionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:Using as the dispersant, a combination of (A) an oil-soluble cationic copolymer obtained by copolymerization between 70-99.5mol% of a lipophilic ethylenic unsaturated monomer (e.g., styrene, alkyl-substituted styrene) and 0.5-30wt.% of a second ethylenic unsaturated monomer having quaternary ammonium group [e.g., dialkylaminoalkyl(meth)acrylate quaternary salt] and (B) a nonionic surfactant (e.g., sucrose fatty acid ester, sorbitan fatty acid ester), a water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer is put to inverse phase suspension polymerization in a hydrophobic solvent. Preferably, the amount of the component A to be used is 0.1-10wt.% based on the water-soluble ethylenic unsaturated monomer, whereas for the component B, 0.05-5wt.%.
