    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrogenation product of an olefin in the presence of a catalyst high in hydrogenation activity in a high yield by reacting the olefin with hydrogen in the presence of the catalyst comprising a metallocene compound and an organic aluminum compound. SOLUTION: An olefin (preferably a cycloalkadiene) is reacted with hydrogen in the presence of (A) a metallocene compound and (B) an organic aluminum oxy compound (preferably methylaluminoxane) preferably at 20-100 deg.C for 1-30hr. The component A is preferably a zirconocene of the formula: MLx (M is zirconium; L groups are ligands, wherein at least one of the L groups is a ligand having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton, and the others are each a 1-12C hydrocarbon, an alkoxy, etc.; x is the valency of M). The component A and the component B are used in amounts of 0.001-0.1 mole and 0.01-1 mole, respectively, per mole of the olefin. The components A and B are used in an Al/M atomic ratio of 100-500.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polymers excellent in rigidity, heat resistance, transparency, impact resistance, heat sealability, etc., by polymerizing propylene in the presence of a catalyst for olefin polymerization composed of a specific transition metal compound and organoaluminum oxy compound(s), etc. CONSTITUTION:These polymers are obtained by polymerizing propylene in the presence of a catalyst for olefin polymerization composed of (A) a transition metal compound of the formula [M is a group IVa, Va or VIa transition metal; R is a 2-6C hydrocarbon; R is a 6-16C (substituted)aryl; X and X are each H, a halogen, a 1-20C (halo)hydrocarbon, an oxygen-contg. group or a sulfur- contg. group; Y is a 1-20C divalent (halo)hydrocarbon, a silicon dioxide-contg. group, O, S, etc.] and (B) at least one kind of compound selected from (1) organoaluminum oxy compounds and (2) compounds each capable of forming an ion pair by reaction with the component A.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a propylene elastomer excellent in heat resistance, shock absorption, transparency, heat-sealability, and blocking resistance. CONSTITUTION:A propylene elastomer is selected which comprises 50-95mol% propylene units and 5-50mol% ethylene units and in which the triad tacticity (determined by C NMR) of chains comprising propylene units bonded head-to- tail is 90.0% or higher; the ratio (determined by C NMR) of position-irregular units due to 2,1-insertion of propylene to the whole propylene insertion is 0.5% or higher; the ratio of position-irregular units due to 1,3-insertion of propylene is 0.05% or lower; and the intrinsic viscosity (at 135 deg.C in decalin) is 0.1-12dl/g.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a color developing recording material which has high whiteness of a skin, and high preservation stability such as moisture vapor resistance, light resistance, etc., of a color developer by incorporating quinone compound, amine compound represented by specific general formulae and acidic substance. CONSTITUTION:A color developing recording material such as heat-sensitive, pressure recording sheet, etc., useful for a record reader using a visible light and/or near infrared ray comprises three elements of quinone compound represented by a first general formula, amine compound represented by a second general formula, and acidic substance. In the first formula, A, B are hydrocarbon group, R -CO, R -O-CO-, R R N-CO-, and C, D are hydrogen, hydrocarbon group, halogen, R -CO-, R -COO-, R -O-CO-, etc. In the second formula, I, J are hydrogen or hydrocarbon group, K, L are hydrogen, hydrocarbon group, halogen, R -CO-, R -COO-, R -OCO-, etc.
