Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit arrangement (100), a redox recycling sensor, a sensor assembly and a method for processing a current signal that is provided by a sensor electrode. The control circuit is configured in such a way that if the current signal (108) that flows into the control circuit via its input lies outside a predetermined current intensity range, the control circuit controls the current source in such a way that the latter adjusts the current (109) it generates, in order to obtain a predetermined current intensity value for the electric current flowing into the control circuit input. If the current that flows into the control circuit via its input lies within the predetermined current intensity range, the control circuit controls the current source in such a way that the latter maintains the current it generates at the current value. In addition, the circuit arrangement has a detection unit (110), which detects the fact that the current signal flowing into the control circuit via its input lies outside the predetermined current intensity range.
