Abstract: The present invention relates to a driving tester for a railway vehicle for simulating irregular vertical driving which comprises a base member, front and rear rail wheel members, and front and rear elliptical secondary wheel members. The base member is installed on the ground in order to simulating irregular vertical driving of a vehicle to be tested. The front and rear rail wheel members include front and rear rail wheels, which are integrally fixed to the top of the base member and able to rotate and on which front and rear wheels of the vehicle to be tested tread respectively, and are raised by front and rear springs. The front and rear secondary elliptical wheel members includes front and rear elliptical secondary wheels which are installed to be restrained from rotating and can come into contact with the front and rear rail wheels. According to the present invention, an irregular vertical bouncing phenomenon while driving on an old railway can be simply simulated by installing elliptical secondary wheels which are located near rail wheels and rotate independently of the rail wheels which are used on the driving tester.
