Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide the method and device to generate the pixel shading value for a display device which is controlled by a computer. CONSTITUTION: This device is generally concreted by a rendering pipeline. As every stage of the pipeline carries out a specific pixel shading function, the pixels are distributed and directly shaded. Abstract: PURPOSE: To display a computer image without using a frame buffer by using a recursive program so as to generate the contour of an intersection area and so as to decide a color and a shading to fill the intersection area. CONSTITUTION: As shown in a processing block 201, the color of a shape (n) is decided and combined with the color of its background by using a transferring mode function. Next, in a block 208, color combination is executed until a loop finishing condition is satisfied and the combination of the colors of all the shapes of present recursion is decided. In a block 203, the geometry and the clipping geometry of the shape (n) are decided. After geometric intersection is decided, its intersection shape is expressed by a decided color (processing block 204) and in order to judge whether (n)-number of each shape are processed or not, a processing finishing condition is tested (processing block 205). When the finishing condition is satisfied, the procedure goes back to a calling processing logic as shown in a block 206.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a memory managing unit (MMU) controlling the right of CPU to access a memory for starting the execution of operation. CONSTITUTION: MMU includes a translator translating a virtual address issued by CPU 202 to a physical address, a domain number and permission, and an environmental controller judging whether a part of a memory corresponding to the domain number can be accessed by CPU 202. The translator includes a translation index buffer(TLB) 220 and TLB generates the physical address, the domain number and permission when one entry in the translation table coincides with the page number components of the virtual address. The translator includes a translation table look up logic supplying entry information for the translation table of TLB by finding out coincidence concerning the page number components, in the memory when coincidence can not be found by TLB. In addition the translator includes a permission control logic which evaluates permission to stop the operation or to continue execution.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain an optical data memory system which is excellent in a dust defocusing effect and is low in electric power consumption by using an optical data recording medium provided with a recording layer in the uppermost part and a reflection layer in the lowermost part and a combined optical/magnetic head. CONSTITUTION: The optical data memory system is constituted by using the optical data recording medium 130 provided with the recording layer 60 in the uppermost part and the reflection layer 80 in the lowermost side and the combined optical/magnetic head 140. Then, the incident light beam 10 on the front surface arrives at a focus existing at the recording layer 60 by passing the recording layer 60, a substrate layer 70, reflect from a base 80 and again pass the substrate 70 in a reverse direction. In such a case, the optical path turns back and, therefore, the substrate 70 may be formed to a half thickness even if the optical path length is the same. The optical head and the magnetic head are combined in such a manner. Since the movement of these heads as a single unit is made possible, the increased speed and the improved reliability are resulted. On the other hand, the reduction in the cost and the electric power consumption is resulted.

Consequently, a user can correct an arbitrary resultant bit map within a certain range of low resolutions, and a digital style adapted to display on a low raster output device is constituted during a process.

Thus, contents of the prefix register PfxR are connected to the direct field or the displacement field of the command when the prefix effective flag PV is set.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To facilitate handling in a hook assembly by eliminating the necessity of separate handles by integrating the handle of a portable computer with the lock mechanism of a cover. CONSTITUTION: A cover part 16 is installed on a keyboard unit 14 and linked through a hinge 18 to a main body 12. Besides, a handle 20 is attached at the cover part 16, and the computer can be easily carried with the handle 20. When the cover 16 is opened, a display 22 and keys 24 on the keyboard part 14 are exposed. This keyboard part is provided with two slots 23. Two hooks 24 are extended downward from the cover part. When the cover 16 is closed, the hooks 24 are engaged with the correspondent slots 23 and the cover is held at a prescribed place. In order to disengage the hooks 24 from the slots 23, the handle 20 is pushed in. Then, the mechanical assembly releases the force of spring and moves the hooks away from the front part of the cover. Thus, the hooks 24 are released from the slots 23 and the cover part can be opened.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To give video data to a display device by accessing a pixel data memory by providing an interface means with a CPU, the pixel data memory and a prescribed address means for a video RAM connected between the both. CONSTITUTION: An interface 13 is provided between video equipment (a card) 15 and a CPU 10 of a computer. The card 15 supplies data through an interface circuit 20 to a frame buffer, a controller 22 and a video output circuit 25 and sends address signals and the others through a timing circuit 21 to the controller 22. The controller 22 generates addresses, drives the VRAM of rows and columns and counts them synchronously with the clock of pixel. When the count value of columns is a prescribed value, the count value of rows is increased and the column count value is returned to '0'. Thus, a circuit can be provided for addressing the VRAM while displaying the non-integer or integer number of scanning lines per row of the video memory.
