Abstract: PURPOSE: A dual-stage servo system using feed-forward study control input is provided to makes design easily and improve control performance by using feed-forward study control input. CONSTITUTION: A first actuator device(30) records data on a recording media or changes a head position to reproduce recoded data. A second actuator device(31) changes a displacement relative with the first actuator device(30) and controls a head position finely. An error detection device detects the difference between a basis position of the recording media and a real position of the head. A first control part(33) outputs signal to drive and control the first actuator device(30) using output of the error detection device. A second control part(34) outputs signal to drive and control the second actuator device(31) according to output of the error detection device. A third control part(35) reads a predetermined control input to drive the first actuator(30) and adds this to the first actuator device(30) together with output of the first control device(33).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A focus jump method of multi-layer disk driver is provided to perform precise focusing of a laser beam from a layer to another layer move by an application of a feedback control concept. CONSTITUTION: A focus jump method of multi-layer disk driver includes following units. When an object lens is decelerated normally, the gradient of a focus error signal become a negative number. If the movement of the object lens is reversed, since the gradient of a focus error signal is change into a negative number, as a result, the movement of the lens can grasp through an examination of the gradient of a focus error signal. At the moment that the movement of the object lens is reversed, since the moving speed of the lens is nearly 0, there is no a problem to start the focus control although the focus error signal has a comparatively large value. The values of PC_START and PC_END for determining the start and deceleration of the position control process may be fixed and preferably may be controlled according to the kinds of disks.

Abstract: A split-gate type non-volatile memory device is provided to increase the voltage induced to a floating gate and improve a program characteristic by additionally forming the planarized second insulation layer on the first insulation layer. A semiconductor substrate(200) is prepared. A gate insulation layer pattern(230) is formed on the semiconductor substrate. A floating gate pattern(240) which is thinner in its center portion than both its edge portions is formed on the gate insulation layer pattern. An interpoly dielectric(270) is formed on the floating gate pattern, including the first and second insulation layers(250,260). The first insulation layer is thinner in both its edge portions than its center portion, The second insulation layer which is thicker in its center portion than both its edge portions to make the upper surface flat is formed on the first insulation layer. One sidewall of the resultant structure and the upper surface of the semiconductor substrate adjacent to the one sidewall are covered with a tunnel insulation layer pattern(290). A control gate pattern(300) is formed on the tunnel insulation layer pattern.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A dual-stage disc drive servo apparatus is provided to reduce a malfunction of system by securing a motion range margin of fine actuator in normal condition at maximum. CONSTITUTION: A compensator(33) executes a stable tracking using a phase lead/lag by a tracking error signal. A coarse actuator(30) has a lower band response characteristic and moves a lens by the output at the compensator(33). A fine actuator(31) a higher band response characteristic and makes a fine moving the lens by a band elimination signal. A band elimination filter(32) makes a band elimination a rotation frequency signal to be output from the compensator(33) to limit a motion distance of the fine actuator(31). The compensator calculates an output signal of the coarse actuator(31) added and the coarse actuator(30) and external input signal, and receives an input of a tracking error signal.

Abstract: A non-volatile memory element is provided to secure the VT window of the memory transistor, and the drain current and off-cell margin by reducing the width of the floating gate active area of the select line lower part. A non-volatile memory device comprises the active area(102), the element isolation film(104), the sensing line(SL), and the word line(WL). The active area comprises the floating gate active area(102F), the source active area(102S) and the contact active area(102D). The element isolation film limits the active area. The sensing line crosses the top of the floating gate active area. The sensing line comprises the control gate electrode(114a) and the floating gate(110a). The word line is located apart from the sensing line and crosses the top of the source active area. The width of the sensing line and the width of the word line are different. The width of the floating gate active area is different from the width of the source active area.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a non-volatile memory device is provided to uniformly form a tunneling insulating layer by evenly forming a side profile of a floating gate. An insulating layer and a conducting layer for a floating gate are deposited on a semiconductor substrate(100), and then are patterned to form a gate insulating layer(210) and a floating gate(220). A spacer(310) is formed on one side of the floating gate, and the substrate is subjected to an oxidation process to form an integrated insulating layer(230), and then the spacer is removed. The substrate is subjected to an oxidation process to form a tunneling insulating layer on the substrate and at one side of the floating gate. A control gate is formed on the floating gate, a source region is formed at one side of the floating gate, and then a drain region is formed at one side of the control gate.
