    Abstract: The present invention relates to aqueous formulations comprising:i. at least one hydrophilic particulate polymer P1, as an aqueous dispersion, composed essentially of monoethylenically unsaturated monomers having a water-solubility in the range from 10 to 100 g/l (at 25° C. and 1 bar), andii. at least one hydrophobic particulate polymer P2, as an aqueous dispersion, composed essentially of ethylenically unsaturated monomers having a water-solubility below 10 g/l (at 25° C. and 1 bar), the glass transition temperature Tg1 of the polymer P1 being less than 10 K different from the glass transition temperature Tg2 of the polymer P2.

    Abstract: Aqueous compositions containing a filler and a copolymer based on a vinyl aromatic monomer and a conjugated diene, in which the copolymer also contains 0.1-4.5 wt.% of monomer unit(s) with acid or acid anhydride group(s) and optionally a water-soluble monomer without acid or anhydride groups. Aqueous compositions (I) containing: (A) a polymer (1-60 wt.%) based on: (a) a vinyl aromatic monomer with up to 20 carbon atoms (10-50 wt.%); (b) a non-aromatic hydrocarbon with two conjugated double bonds (45-75 wt.%); (c) a water-soluble monomer containing no acid or acid anhydride groups, with a solubility of at least 100 g/l water at 21 degrees C and 1 bar (0-20 wt.%); (d) a monomer with acid or anhydride group(s) (0.1-4.5 wt.%); and (e) other monomers (0-30 wt.%); and (B) a filler (40-99 wt.%) An Independent claim is also included for substrates coated with (I).
