Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating a mixture containing a) a monoethylenically unsaturated compound that can be obtained by adding two terminal olefins carrying the functional groups necessary for producing the monoethylenically unsaturated compound containing at least two functional groups, or a saturated compound obtained by hydrogenating one such compound, b) a compound that can be obtained by adding more than two of the terminal olefins cited in a) or a compound obtained by hydrating one such compound, a nd c) a compound which contains a transition metal, is homogeneous in relation to the mixture, and is suitable as a catalyst for producing a monoethylenically unsaturated compound by adding two terminal olefins carrying the functional groups necessary for producing the monoethylenically unsaturated compound containing at least two functional groups. According to said method, the mixture is separated by means of a semi-permeable membrane, obtaining a permeate and a retentate, in such a way that the weight ratio of constituent b) to constituent c) in the mixture supplied to the semi-permeable membrane is smaller than in the retentate.

Abstract: Un proceso para separar una mezcla que comprende a) un compuesto monoolefinicamente insaturado que se puede obtener anadiendo dos olefinas terminales que llevan los grupos funcionales requeridos para preparar el compuesto monoolefinicamente insaturado que contiene cuando menos dos grupos funcionales, o un compuesto saturado obtenido mediante hidrogenacion de dicho compuesto, b) un compuesto que se obtiene anadiendo mas de dos de las olefinas terminales mencionadas en a) o un compuesto obtenido hidrogenando dicho compuesto, y c) un compuesto que contiene un metal de transicion, es homogeneo con respecto a la mezcla y es apropiado como un catalizador para preparar un compuesto monoolefinicamente insaturado anadiendo dos olefinas terminales que llevan los grupos funcionales requeridos para preparar el compuesto monoolefinicamente insaturado que contiene cuando menos dos grupos funcionales por medio de una membrana semipermeable para obtener un permeado y un retentado de tal manera que la relacion en peso del componente b) al componente c) en la mezcla alimentada a la membrana semipermeable es menor que en el retentado.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for jointly producing (i) formic acid (III); (ii) a carboxylic acid comprising at least two carbon atoms (II) and/or the derivatives thereof; and (iii) a carboxylic acid anhydride (VII). According to said method, (a) a formic acid ester (I) is transesterfied to formic acid (III) and the corresponding carboxylic acid ester (IV) by means of a carboxylic acid comprising at least two carbon atoms (II); (b) at least one portion of the carboxylic acid ester (IV) formed in step (a) is carbonylated in order to obtain the carboxylic acid anhydride (V); and (c) at least one portion of the carboxylic acid anhydride (V) formed in step (b) is further dehydrated by means of a carboxylic acid (VI) so as to form a carboxylic acid anhydride (VII) and the carboxylic acid (II).
