    Abstract: Disclosed are a silicate-based foamed material which has a density of less than 25 kg/m 3 , an SiO 2 :Al 2 O 3 molar ratio of more than 20:1, and an SiO 2 :Me 2 O molar ratio of more than 50:1, wherein Me represents an alkali metal, the use thereof for heat insulation or sound-proofing purposes, and methods for the production thereof by mixing a dispersion of SiO 2 particles that have an average diameter ranging from 1 to 100 nm with a surfactant and a foaming agent at temperatures below 50 °C and expanding said mixture by heating the same to a temperature ranging from 60 to 100 °C or by relieving the pressure.

    Abstract: Material ligero a base de madera, el cual comprende de 30 a 92,5% en peso, referido al material a base de madera, de partículas de madera, donde las partículas de madera presentan una densidad media de 0,4 a 0,85 g/cm3, de 2,5 a 20 % en peso, referido al material a base de madera, de poliestireno y/o de copolimerizado de estireno como agente de carga, donde el agente de carga presenta una densidad aparente de 30 a 100 kg/m3, y de 5 a 50 % en peso, referido al material a base de madera, de aglomerante, donde la densidad media del material ligero a base de madera es menor o igual a 600 kg/m3, caracterizado porque como agente de carga se utilizan perlas o esferas pre-espumadas de agente de carga, las cuales presentan un diámetro de 0,25 a 10 mm, donde las perlas o esferas de agente de carga presentan un revestimiento antiestático, donde las partículas de madera presentan una densidad media de 0,4 a 0,75 g/cm3 y la resistencia a la tracción transversal del material a base de madera es mayor que 0,4 N/mm2.
