Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a user in refreshment of a battery with proper timing, when a battery for supplying the system body with power by discharging electricity after being charged. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a CPU which executes the diagnosis program of an intelligent battery 52, an embedded controller 41 which receives an identifier from the intelligent battery 52 and outputs it to the CPU, an information file which stores the date information of refreshment in a plurality of batteries, and an AC adaptor power stoppage circuit 80 which performs the supply and stoppage of the power to the system body from an AC adaptor 51 by the control from the embedded controller 41. The CPU acquires from the information file the date information corresponding to the identifier outputted from the embedded controller 41, and judges the necessity of the refreshment and stops the supply of power from the AC adaptor 51 to the system body by controlling the AC adaptor power stoppage circuit 80, based on the refreshment command from the CPU.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely determine the existence of a fault in a battery, in an apparatus which is equipped with a battery for performing charge and discharge and supplying power to the main body side. SOLUTION: This is a computer device which performs power supply to the system body from a connected intelligent battery 52 for performing charge and discharge, and this intelligent battery 52 is equipped with a voltage measuring circuit 70 which measures the battery voltage, a current measuring circuit 63 which measures the charge and discharge currents, a temperature measuring circuit 90 which measures the temperature, and a CPU 62 which grasps the full charge capacity of the intelligent battery 52, based on the battery voltage obtained by the voltage measuring circuit 70, the charge and discharge currents obtained by the current measuring circuit 63, and the temperature obtained by the temperature measuring circuit 90. The CPU 62 compares the forecast lowest capacity having determined the level of the capacity to be guaranteed with the full charge capacity, and informs the embedded controller 41 of the system main body of the comparison results.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an air flow quantity in a condition in which a noise level is held within an allowable value by arranging adhesive materials on a root part which is brought into contact with a hub in a surface side and a back surface side of each blade, and appropriately differing each shape of blades, in a fan wherein a plurality of blades are mounted around the hub to be rotated. SOLUTION: In a fan 1, a plurality of blades 4 are mounted at equal clearances around a hub 3 fixed to a rotary shaft of a motor in a fan main body 2. In this case, adhesive materials 5 are arranged on a root part 4a which is brought into contact with a hub 3 of a surface side and a back surface side in the appropriate number of blades 4. Each shape of the blades 4 provided with the adhesive materials 5, and each shape of the blades 4 not provided with the adhesive materials 5, are differed from each other. Accordingly, a periodicity applied to pressure change of air is reduced by each shape of the blades 4, and noise is reduced. Even if the number of the blades 4 and rotating speed are increased for increasing an air supplying quantity, it is possible to hold a noise level of a fan 1 within an allowable value.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of abnormality in a battery switching circuit and to secute the safety of a system by arranging a temperature sensing means in the vicinity of a change-over switch, and when the switch temperature exceeds a prescribed temperature, interrupting the switching circuit. SOLUTION: The circuit is constituted so as to connect the gate electrodes of respective FETs1 to 4 to 1st and 2nd series circuits 10, 20 in order to switch 1st and 2nd battery packs 30, 34. A temperature sensor 50 is arranged in the vicinities of these FETs 1 to 4 and a node G is connected to ground so as to control the switching of the FETs1 to 4. When the temperature of the sensor 50 is increased, its resistance value is increased and a transistor(TR) TR5 is conducted. Therefore the collector of the TR TR5 is turned to low potential and its gate electrode is turned to a non-conductive state. Thus the node G is separated from the ground, the FETs1 to 4 are turned off and all batteries are separated. A level applied to an FET5 shuts down the system as a shut- down signal.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a power unit and reduce the size of the unit by constituting a switching regulator by using a plurality of horizontal synchronizing pulse trains having different frequencies so that the regulator can work in a plurality of display modes. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal synchronizing pulse train having a selected frequency is supplied to a waveform shaping circuit 2 through a line 11. An automatic frequency control circuit AFC3 incorporates an oscillation circuit 3A and a synchronizing circuit 3B and, since the saw tooth wave generated from the circuit 3A is corrected to a saw tooth wave having a frequency which is a multiple times as high as that of the horizontal synchronizing pulse train impressed upon the circuit 3B, the circuit 3B becomes synchronous to the frequency of the horizontal synchronizing pulse impressed upon the circuit 3B by generating a feedback signal on a line 13A. The power control circuit 8 of a switching regulator type power source circuit 9 receives a pulse from a line 16 and a feedback signal from a line 17 and generates a switching pulse on a line 18. Therefore, a power unit can operate at a frequency which is several times as high as a plurality of horizontal synchronizing frequencies and, moreover, synchronously and the principal design parameters can be selected so that the optimum operating condition can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the power consumption of an AC adapter and a battery connected to a commercial power source. SOLUTION: This electrical appliance is provided with a system main body for receiving a power supply, an AC adapter 51 constituted so as to be connectable to this system main body for supplying a power from a commercial power source to the system main body, a battery 52 constituted so as to be connectable to this system main body for supplying a power to the system main body by executing discharging after charging, and an embedded controller 41 for suppressing a power supply from the AC adapter 51 based on a prescribed condition in a state that the AC adapter 51 and the battery 52 are connected to the system main body. In a peak shift time zone, switches SW1-SW3 are all opened so that a power can be supplied from the battery 52, and when the capacity of the battery 52 is insufficient, a switch SW2 is closed so that a power can be supplied from the AC adapter 51 to an invertor 36, and when the capacity of the battery 52 is still insufficient, a switch SW3 is closed so that a power can be supplied from the AD adapter 51 to a CPU 11.

SOLUTION: A gradation upper-limit value (n) and a gradation lower-limit value (m) displayed on the display screen of an LCD module are detected at specific intervals and the setting of a γcurve is remapped according to the range to dynamically remap a luminance distribution. Further, when the gradation upper-limit value (n) or gradation lower-limit value (m) increases, the peak value of the γ curve is immediately varied. When the gradation upper-limit value (n) or gradation lower-limit value (m) decreases, on the other hand, the peak value of the γ curve is varied on condition that the decrease lasts for a specific number of frames or more.

The system body is equipped with an embedded controller 41 which receives the information about the deterioration of capacity from the CPU 62 of the battery.

SOLUTION: A voice coil motor 12 is attached to an arm assembly 10 and head/slider assemblies 13 are moved in the radial direction by the voice coil motor 12 by connecting respective rear ends of arms 11 to an axis 14 while pivotally attaching them to the frame of a disk driving device. Moving amounts of second connection pads being on a circuit board 23 with respect to extension plates 19 are small and positions of the pads are correctly formed and at the time the extension plates 19 are rotatingly moved around three axes orthogonal with each other, the pads are not fluctuated and the extension plates 19 can be bent in the direction vertical to flat surfaces of the arms 11 and the arms 11 can be moved around two axes of the flat surfaces.

SOLUTION: The portable information processing equipment is equipped with a support means which supports a liquid crystal display panel part detachably from the equipment main body 1A, a detecting means for its attaching/detaching operation, and 1st and 2nd connectors 61 and 62 which connect the liquid crystal display panel part and equipment main body, and when the liquid crystal display panel part and equipment main body are separated, the 1st and 2nd connectors 61 and 62 are connected by a cable. Once the detecting means detects the liquid crystal display panel part being detached, the output of a video signal from the liquid crystal main body side to the liquid crystal display panel part is disabled to cut off electric supply to the liquid crystal panel part, and the equipment main body interrupts the operation of the whole system after saving data needed to restart the task, thereby storing the application execution contents right before the liquid crystal display panel part is detached.
