Abstract: According to a structure for inspecting the alignment of a mounted electrical component of the present invention, a wiring pattern has fiducial portions extending closely along at least two outer edges of a rectangular electrical component. Accordingly, conventional silk-screen printed markers can be eliminated, resulting in a more productive and less expensive structure for inspecting the alignment of a mounted electrical component.

Abstract: A resistor of SMD (Surface Mounted Device) construction includes a film of a resistive alloy as a resistive track on two electrically separated carrier plate elements of copper, which are constructed as contact elements solderable to the terminals of a printed circuit board to thereby ensure good heat dissipation into a printed circuit board. In order to manufacture such resistors, a resistive film sufficient for a plurality of individual resistors is adhered to but electrically isolated from a large copper plate and the laminate formed thereby is split into the individual resistors after producing the individual resistive tracks and their electrical connections to the copper plate and after producing gaps between the plate elements for each track.

Abstract: A liquid crystal apparatus is constituted by a display device for data display, a drive circuit unit for driving the display device, a unit substrate for supplying electric signals to the drive circuit unit, and a tape-form film carrier comprising an insulating substrate and a conductor covered with the insulating substrate for connecting the display device, the drive circuit unit and the unit substrate. A part of the film carrier is provided with a blank portion where the insulating substrate is locally removed to absorb a stress applied to the film carrier. A unit substrate constituting the drive circuit unit is screwed to a supporting member so as to allow a movement thereof relative to the supporting member by use of a space regulating means surrounding the screw shank.

Abstract: A vertical plug-in single-in-line circuit module with a carrier for carrying a row of single-in-line mounted metal pins lying in the plane of the carrier along one carrier edge as outer electrical connections of one or more resistive elements such as a resistance area or resistance path. A first region of the resistive element is located closer to the metal pins of the carrier than a second region of the resistive element. Leads couple the metal pins to the resistive element.
