Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for detecting the contamination of transmission oil using an electric oil pump are provided to detect the contamination of transmission oil at an early stage by comparing a current value supplied to an electric oil pump with a reference current value. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the contamination of transmission oil using an electric oil pump comprises a phase current sensor(80), a top control unit(82), and a warning unit(86). The phase current sensor is installed on the output end of an oil pump controller(88) and detects a current value applied to an electric oil pump(60). The top control unit determines whether foreign materials are caught in the electric oil pump by comparing the detected current value with a reference current value. The warning unit warns a driver that foreign materials are caught in the electric oil pump. Abstract: PURPOSE: An oil pump rattle noise reduction method is provided to control the rattle noise of an oil pump by controlling a hydraulic circuit which forms the valve body of the oil pump and an auto transmission. CONSTITUTION: A TCU(Transmission Control Unit) executes control which is optimized according to producing conditions. The TCU senses that the location of a transmission range is P or N(S10). The TCU determines whether the oil temperature of ATF(Auto Transmission Fluid) is over than 90 degrees or not(S20). The TCU determines whether an engine cooling fan is off or not when stopping an engine(S30). The TCU increases the line pressure of a hydraulic circuit which is connected to an oil pump to 10bar.
