Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling an oil pump for a hybrid vehicle is provided to prevent the generation of an overshoot such that the revolution number of the electric oil pump undesirably rises according to the reduction of a load at the point of finishing shifting, thereby smoothly manipulating the shifting and preventing the generation of noise. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an oil pump for a hybrid vehicle includes the following steps: a shifting manipulation determining step(S10) of determining whether or not a driver manipulates a gearshift from a neutral position to a drive position; an elapsed time determining step(S20) of determining whether or not a predetermined time has elapsed after the driver manipulates the gearshift from the neutral position to the drive position; and a revolution number reducing step(S30) of reducing the revolution number of the electric oil pump after the predetermined time has elapsed. The predetermined time is set into a time before the drop of line pressure is required after the gearshift from the neutral position to the drive position has finished. When the gearshift is manipulated by the driver from the neutral position to the drive position after the step(S20), a revolution raising step(S15) of raising the revolution number of the oil pump to a predetermined level in order to raising the line pressure of a transmission is implemented.
