Abstract: PURPOSE: An optical biosensor chip and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the unit cost of a sensor chip by selectively scanning cells to be sensed. CONSTITUTION: A biosensor chip comprises a biosensor cell, a sensing line(S/L), and an output terminal. The biosensor cell comprises a photoelectric element(211), and a biosensor(213). Being selectively turned on, the photoelectric element produces standard electric signals. The biosensor produces and outputs sensing signals based on the standard electric signals. The resistance of the biosensor is changed by reaction between a probe molecule and a target molecule. The sensing line connects to the biosensor cell and transmits the sensing signals from the biosensor cell.
