Abstract: The invention relates to the production of organic nitrogen compounds, especially aminoalkanes, alkyloximes, alkylnitrons or mixtures thereof having only one nitrogen-functional grouping and no alcoholic hydroxyl groups in the molecule, from nitro group-containing reaction products of polymers of C2 to C6 olefines with a mean degree of polymerisation P = 5 to 100 with nitrogen oxides, mixtures of nitrogen oxides and oxygen by the hydration of said reaction products. The invention also relates to certain mixtures of such aminoalkanes, alkyloximes and/or alkylnitrons and such individual compounds themselves. The products specified are suitable as fuel and lubricant additives.
