    Abstract: PURPOSE: To guarantee optimal preheating by providing a differentiating means generating signals indicative of the time differential of the intensity of current flowing in plugs and a comparator circuit means for shutting off the current flowing in the plugs by a switch means when the signal generated by the differentiating means indicates a predetermined threshold value. CONSTITUTION: A user operates a switch so that electric current flows to an excitation coil 6a of a relay 6, a switch 6b is open and resistance value of resistance elements of preheating plugs 2 is increased. Consequently, the current intensity consumed by them is reduced gradually. When a comparator 10 detects that the current flowing in the plugs 2 falls below a predetermined value on the basis of the signal fed to a sensor 7, the output signal of the comparator 10 is shifted to L and a lamp 5 is turned off. When a comparator 11 decides that the differentiation value of the current passing through the plugs 2 is below a predetermined value, the output of the comparator 11 turns to the L level and the relay 6 is in non-operation. The switch 6b is turned on to shut off the current to plugs 2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce energy consumption by providing a storage inductor permanently connected to a first pole of a voltage supply and a conductive bypass path between the first pole and a load. CONSTITUTION: A switch SW1 interposed between a storage inductor Li and a first pole 1 of a power supply VB is controlled by an electronic control unit ECU. The switch SW1 initially turned on to direct electric current from the power supply to the storage inductor Li is turned to a non-excited state for quickly transmitting the current from the storage inductor to a load Li. A unit ECU causes switches SW3 and SWi to open and close in counterphase in order to maintain the current in the load Li at a predetermined average level. The control is effected both when the current in the load Li is maintained at a preset maximum value in a predetermined period of time and when the current is maintained at a lower 'maintained' current value. Thus, it is possible to reduce the number of electronic switches controlling the load Li.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the cost by making a recess in a support so that the support can be deformed elastically and providing a piezoelectric resistance sensitive element and a conductive means. CONSTITUTION: A hard supporting plate 1 made of a ceramic material is provided, in one surface 1a thereof, with a recess 2 having bottom wall face part 2a made of a thin film so that the support plate can be deformed resiliently under action of a force or pressure to be measured. The supporting plate 1 is provided, in the other surface 1b thereof, with four thick films or thin film resistors R functioning as a piezoelectric element by silk screen printing. These resistors R are interconnected to form a Wheatstone bridge circuit. Similarly, a conductive strip C is formed by silk screen printing onto the surface 1b of supporting plate 1 at each joint of resistors R. Furthermore, these resistors R are connected with a processing circuit 3. According to the constitution, manufacturing cost can be reduced.

When the current flowing in the collector-emitter circuit of the power TR 3 exceeds the threshold generated from a threshold signal generation circuit 7, the current supplied to the base of the TR 3 is reduced.     Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the dimension of the whole of a device so as to miniaturize a circuit by providing plural switching DC/DC converters, a bridge switching circuit and an electronic control unit. CONSTITUTION: A fly back DC/DC converter CC1 and a feed forward DC/DC converter CC2 are provided. Each converter CC1, CC2 has inputs 1, 2 respectively connected to a battery B for an automobile, which forms a direct current voltage source. Output of the converter CC2 is connected to an H-type bridge switching circuit HB, and the circuit HB has four MOSFET transistors M1-M4, which form a switch. An electronic control unit ECU drives each converter so that the converter CC1 is firstly operated by the generation of high voltage per each time of closing a switch of a gas discharge lamp L, and continuously, so that the converter CC2 is operated so as to generate the large power in spite of a low voltage.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make the supply circuit of a voltage regulator operate, regardless of a phase signal taken out of a generator winding at the time of the start of the generator by a method, wherein an enable signal is supplied to the supply circuit when the voltage of the terminal of a 1st comparing means exceeds a predetermined threshold. CONSTITUTION: When the engine of a car is started and a current generator 2 starts supplying a current, a drive circuit 13 extinguishes an indication lamp 11. By lowering a voltage applied to a resistor 13b below a reference value, the output level of a comparator 18 turned to Lo. However, when the indication lamp 11 is extinguished, a voltage between the terminal L of a voltage regulator 3 and a ground is elevated and reaches the voltage of a battery 1. Thus, even if the output level of the comparator 18 is turned to Lo, the output level of a comparator 17 reaches Hi, so that the enabled state of a supply circuit 15 can be maintained. With this constitution, the supply circuit 15 of the voltage regulator 3 can be made to operate, regardless of a phase signal taken out of one of the windings of a generator 4 at the time of the start of the generator 4.

Thus, alternating voltage of a frequency depending on an external control signal is led to a secondary winding 5.
