    Abstract: La presente invencion proporciona un proceso para identificar compuestos que se fijan a una molécula objetivo específica. El proceso incluye los pasos de: a) generar un primer espectro de correlacion de resonancia magnética nuclear de 15N/1H bidimensional de una molécula objetivo etiquetada con 15N; b) exponer la molécula objetivo etiquetada a un compuesto químico o una mezcla de compuestos químicos; c) generar un segundo espectro de correlacion de resonancia magnética nuclear de 15N/1H bidimensional de la molécula objetivo etiquetada que se ha expuesto a un compuesto o una mezcla de compuestos en el paso (b); y d) comparar el primero y segundo espectros de correlacion de resonancia magnética nuclear de 15N/1H bidimensional para determinar las diferencias entre el primero y segundo espectros, las diferencias identificando la presencia de uno o más compuestos que son ligandos que se han fijado a la molécula objetivo.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a process of designing compounds which bind t o a specific target molecule. The process includes the steps of a) identifying a first ligand to the target molecule using two-dimensional 15N/1H NMR correlation spectroscop y; b) identifying a second ligand to the target molecule using two-dimensional 15N/1H NMR correlation spectroscopy; c) forming a ternary complex by binding the first and second ligands to the target molecule; d) determining the three-dimensional structu re of the ternary complex and thus the spatial orientation of the first and second ligands on the target molecule; and e) linking the first and second ligands to form the dru g, wherein the spatial orientation of step (d) is maintained.
