    Abstract: The invention concerns the use of modified polyaspartic acids as additives to washing agents and washing agents containing the modified polyaspartic acids in amounts of between 0.1 and 20 wt.%. The modified polyaspartic acids are obtained by the polycondensation of aspartic acid in the presence of: (a) 2.5 to 25 mol % amines with at least 6 carbon atoms; and (b) at least 2 wt.% phosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, hypophosphorous acid, polyphosphoric acids, phosphorus pentoxide, phosphonic acids or mixtures of said acids, in each case relative to the amount of aspartic acid used, at temperatures of at least 120 DEG C and subsequent hydrolysis with bases to give modified polyaspartic acids with a phosphorus content of between 0.5 and 10 wt.%.

    Abstract: Dialkoxyethenes of formula R1O-CR2:CR3-OR4 (I) are produced by cleavage of alcohols R4OH or R5OH from trialkoxyethanes of formula R1O-CHR2-CR3(OR5)-OR4 (II) in the presence of zeolites and/or phosphates and/or phosphoric or boric acid on a support material as catalysts. In the formulae, R1, R4, R5 are opt. branched alkyl or cycloalkyl; R2, R3 are alkyl or cycloalkyl as above, or H, aryl or alkenylaryl (opt. with aromatic gp. substd. with alkyl, alkoxy, Hal, etc.). 1,2-Dimethoxyethene (III) is made by cleavage of MeOH from 1,1,2-trimethoxyethane (IV) using the above, or acidic untreated metal oxides as catalysts, catalysts are pentasil-type zeolites esp.
