    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the detergency on inorganic staining by providing a composition containing a nonionic surface active agent and a specific anionic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:A nonionic surface active agent, (A), an anionic surface active agent (B) containing 1 or more 6-24C hydrophobic groups and 2 or more anionic groups, the weight ratio of A/B being 100-1/1-20, and having a chelate stability constant with Ca of 2 or more, a Kraft point of 5 deg.C or below when Ca is chelated, and a Ca holding capacity of 50mg (in terms of CaCO3)/g or more, and if necessary, an organic alkaline agent, divalent metal ion sequestering agent, solubilizing agent, saturated or unsaturated 10-20C fatty acid or salt thereof, extending agent, antiredeposition agent, enzyme (stabilizer), bleaching (activating) agent, coloring agent, perfume, preservative, etc., are mixed.

    Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:An aspartic acid derivative expressed by formula I or salt of said derivative (R is linear or branched 1-21C alkyl or 2-21C alkenyl; R and R are 1-6C alkyl; n is 1-6). EXAMPLE:An N-lauroyl-N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) aspartic acid. USE:Useful as a low-irritant surfactant. Widely usable in various fields having mild property to skin, excellent resistance to hard water and foaming property with excellent biodegradability. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II (R to R are able to be same or different 1-6C alkyl) is reacted with fatty acid expressed by formula III or a reactive derivative of said acid to obtain a compound expressed by formula IV. Next, the compound is hydrolyzed to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I. The reaction of the compound expressed by formula II and the compound expressed by formula III is performed at 0-50 deg.C. The compound expressed by formula IV is a new compound.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a detergent compsn. having low irritating properties and improved detergency and hard water resistance by using a particular N-acyl-N- dialkylaminoalkylamino acid (salt). CONSTITUTION:A dialkylaminoalkylamine and a mixture of acrylonitrile, hydroxyacetonitrile and a halogenated acetonitrile are cyanoalkylated at -20 to 70 deg.C to prepare a (dialkylaminoalkylamino)alkylnitrile compd. This compd. is reacted with an acyl chloride at -20 to 70 deg.C in a solvent to prepare an acyl compd. This acyl compd. is hydrolyzed at 60 to 105 deg.C under an alkaline condition, neutralized, dehydrated and desalted, thereby obtaining an N-acyl-N- dialkylaminoalkylamino acid (salt) of the formula (wherein R1 is a 1-21C alkyl or alkenyl; each of R2 and R3 is a 1-6C lower alkyl; m is 1-2; and n is 1-6). The product and, if desired, other surfactants, with the balance being water (C), are mixed together and its pH is adjusted to 4-6. As a result, a detergent is obtd in the form of a liq. or a paste.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new cyclic acetal exhibiting liquid state having moderate viscosity near the room temperature, having excellent compatibility with hydrofluorocarbons, producible at a low cost and useful for synthetic lubricating oil and working fluid composition for refrigerator. SOLUTION: The objective compound is expressed by formula I [R is H or methyl and R is a 3-21C (branched) alkyl or R is a 2-21C (branched) alkyl and R is a 2-21C (branched) alkyl], e.g. 4,4'-[oxybis(methylene)]bis[2-methyl-2-(2- methylpropyl)-1,3-dioxolan]. The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting diglycerol of formula II with a compound of formula III or ketal or acetal which is a reactive derivative of the compound of formula III in the presence of an acid catalyst.
