Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a multilayer plastic container having transparency and excellent in barrier properties to gas, water vapor and ultraviolet rays by forming the container consisting of two layers of a thermoplastic polyester layer which has ethylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit, and a thermoplastic polyester layer containing ethylene naphthalate. CONSTITUTION:In this process for producing a multilayer plastic container, a preform (preliminarily molded article) consisting of at least two layers of a thermoplastic polyester layer (layer A) which has the main repeating unit of 90mol% or more ethylene terephthalate as a repeating unit, and a thermoplastic polyester layer (layer B) which has 5-90mol% ethylene naphthalate as a repeating terminal, is molded by injection molding and then blow-molded to be oriented at least in an uniaxial direction in a temperature range of 80-120 deg.C. The multilayer plastic container thus produced is uniform in its thickness, has transparency and is further excellent in barrier properties to gas, such as an oxygen gas and a carbonic acid gas, or to water vapor, and also in barrier properties to ultraviolet rays. In particular, the container can be suitably utilized as a foodstuff packaging container.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain excellent high temperature durability and satisfactory frequency characteristic by incorporating a resin layer having 1000cc(STP)/m hr- atm or less of oxygen transmission amount in a sheathing material for sheathing a capacitor element. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element having a conductive polymer layer formed by oxidation polymerization of aromatic compound on the surface of a dielectric material made of an oxide film of film forming metal 1 and a conductor layer 2 formed thereon, and a sheathing material 4 for sheathing the element are provided. A resin layer 3 having 1000cc(STP)/m hr-atm or less of oxygen transmission amount is contained in the material 4. Thus, oxygen in the air is not transmitted through the material to eliminate oxidation of conductive polymer and reduction in conductivity. Accordingly, excellent high temperature durability and satisfactory frequency characteristic can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title high-purity compound simply and in high yield by subjecting an alkali metallic salt of amino acid type surfactant to electrophoresis in the presence of an alkanolamine and a mineral acid by using a specific ion exchange membrane. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic compound polymerizable by oxidation, such as metaphenylenedialine is chemically polymerized by oxidation using ferric chloride, etc., on the surface or surface layer of sulfonic acid type cation exchange membrane such as sulfonated styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and further treated with an aldehyde such as formalin to give a cation exchange membrane having 0.05-0.3 water content (water gram/wet resin gram) useful for electrophoresis. The cation exchange membrane is used, an alkali metallic salt of amino acid type surfactant or acylated amino acid type surfactant is subjected to electrophoresis in the presence of a mineral acid salt of an alkanolamine or ammonium or the alkanolamine or NH3 and a mineral acid and loss of the alkanolamine by membrane permeation is reduced to give the aimed compound.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily form a tough conductive film having high conductivity on a substrate by wetting the insulating substrate surface with an electrolyte to carry out electrolytic polymerization and electrolytically polymerizing an aromatic compd. with the formed conductive polymer film of a tree shape, etc., as an anode. CONSTITUTION:A gold wire 2 is brought into contact with a part of the surface of the insulating substrate 1 as a working electrode, the surface, of the substrate 1 is wetted with the electrolyte 4 contg. a monomer to be electrolytically polymerized, and a part of the lower part is dipped in the electrolyte 4. A voltage is impressed between the gold wire 2 and a nickel plate 3 as a counter electrode in the electrolyte 4, and electrolytic polymerization is carried out. In this case, the potential gradient on the substrate 1 surface in the electrolyte film is controlled to >=1V/cm or preferably to about 5-100V/cm. As a result, a tree-shaped or reticular conductive polymer film is formed on the substrate 1 surface. An aromatic compd. is then electrolytically polymerized with the polymer film as an anode. Pyrrole, thiophene, benzene and their derivatives are appropriately used as the aromatic compd. By this method, a tough conductor film having excellent adhesion and high conductivity is formed on the substrate 1, and the insulating substrate surface is made conductive.

Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled dispersant which can consistently given small polymer granules free of fine polymer particles, prepared by reacting a polymer of an N-vinyl cyclic amide with an alpha-olefin or an alkyl vinyl ether in the presence of a peroxide compound. CONSTITUTION:A polymer of an N-vinyl cyclic amide of formula II (wherein R' and R'' are each H, CH3 or C2H5 and n is 1-3), e.g., N-vinylpyrrolidone, is reacted with a 6C or higher alpha-olefin or an alkyl vinyl ether, wherein the alkyl group is 6C or higher, at 80-200 deg.C for 10-40hr in the presence of a peroxide compound to obtain the titled dispersant comprising a polymer having repeating units of formula II, wherein (R1, R2) is selected from among the combinations of (H, H), (H, CH3), (H, C2H5), (CH3, C2H5), (H, 6C or higher linear or branched alkyl) and (H, 6C or higher alkoxyethyl) and R3-4 are each a 6C or higher linear or branched alkyl or a 6C or higher alkoxyethyl. A monomer is subjected to reversed phase suspension polymerization in the presence of 0.01-10wt% said dispersant.
