Abstract:
PURPOSE: A flexible axle for preventing derailment of a railway vehicle is provided to prevent the train from being derailed during high-speed traveling by reducing lateral force to the wheel in passing the curved line with installing an elastic support axle between separable axles. CONSTITUTION: An elastic axle comprises a rectangular installation frame(11) placed in the lower part of a bogie frame and composed of plural axle installation holes formed symmetrically at both sides; separable axles(2,2') separated in the center of the axle and mounted in the installation frame with forming a fixing unit(22) at the side of the wheel; and a support axle(3) having a set of symmetrical containing holes(31) for storing the separation portion of the axle, and an elastic body(4) installed in the containing hole. The derailment of the railway vehicle is prevented by decreasing lateral pressure in traveling on the curved line.

PURPOSE: A speed detecting method for an automatic train operating apparatus for a city railroad vehicle is provided to automatically operate the train even when a tachometer input part of the train operating apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A speed detecting method for an automatic train operating apparatus for a city railroad vehicle calculates the speed of the train with speed information communicated from an automatic train controlling device. At a first step(S1), a current speed is calculated and compared with speed information from the automatic train controlling device. At a second step(S2), it is determined whether a tachometer input part is out of order and the train is automatically operated by using information from the automatic train controlling device if the tachometer is out of order. At a third step(S3), it is determined whether the train is stopped. At a fourth step(S4), when the train is stopped, the tachometer input part is reset. At a fifth step(S5), the first step is repeated.
