Abstract: PURPOSE: An airbag cushion for a vehicle is provided to perfectly protect passengers even when a position where an airbag is installed is forwardly biased from the top position, and to control the position of a cushion even when a seat bag of a vehicle is forwardly folded. CONSTITUTION: An airbag cushion for a vehicle comprises a cushion lower part(100) and a cushion upper part(300). The cushion lower part is deployed at a knee position of a passenger and has a width(150) capable of covering the knees of the passengers. The cushion upper part is connected at the top of the cushion lower part and is deployed in chest and head positions of the passenger. The cushion upper part has smaller width(350) and deeper depth(330) than the cushion lower part to be protruded to a passenger side. The top part(310) of the cushion upper part corresponding to the head of the passenger is protruded while being divided into two parts based on the center part.

The air bag housing is installed in the roof between a front seat(1) and rear seat(2). The air cushion is stored in the air bag housing and protects the passengers sit in a rear seat through being inflated downward. The perpendicular cushion is expanded downward at predetermined length right under the end of the horizontal cushion facing the rear seat.
