Abstract: Disclosed is a biodiesel fuel mixture having a cetane number of> 40, comprising a) from 5 to 90% by weight of biodiesel, b) from 0 to 94% by weight of diesel oil of fossil origin, c) from 1 to 20% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene dialkyl ether of the formula RO(CH2O)nR, in which R is an alkyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and n is from 2 to 10, and d) from 0 to 5% by weight of further additives. Also disclosed is the use of polyoxymethylene dialkyl ethers as defined above as an additive in biodiesel fuel mixtures with at least 1% by weight of biodiesel for increasing the cetane number.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtención de ácidos alcanosulfónicos, que comprende los siguientes pasos: (a) reacción de un epóxido con dióxido de azufre, en caso dado en presencia de un catalizador, para dar sulfato de alquileno, (b) reacción de sulfito de alquileno con un alcohol, en caso dado, en presencia de un catalizador, para dar sulfito de dialquilo y el correspondiente diol, (c) transposición de sulfitos de dialquilo en presencia de un catalizador para dar el correspondiente alcanosulfonato de alquilo, (d) hidrólisis de alcanosulfonato de alquilo para dar el ácido alcanosulfónico deseado, pudiéndose recircular en las correspondientes etapas previas algunos de los productos secundarios formados en los diferentes pasos, o bien pudiéndose utilizar como producto de valor el diol formado en el paso (b), y llevándose a cabo el paso (b) de manera continua en una columna como procedimiento contra corriente.
