Abstract: The invention relates to an insertion device (110) for inserting an analyte sensor (114) into a body tissue. The insertion device (110) comprises an insertion needle holder (120) and a drive mechanism (124) for driving the insertion needle holder (120) in a longitudinal direction (126). The drive mechanism (124) comprises at least one actuator (132) for actuating the drive mechanism (124). The drive mechanism (124) comprises a rotor (142) adapted to transform an actuation motion of the actuator (132) into a motion of the insertion needle holder (120) in the longitudinal direction (126). The insertion device (110) further comprises at least one safety lock (164). The safety lock (164), in a locked position, is adapted to at least partially block a rotation of the rotor (142). In an unlocked position, the safety lock (164) is adapted to permit the rotation of the rotor (142).

Abstract: An insertion device (110) for inserting an analyte sensor (114) into a body tissue is proposed. The insertion device (110) comprises an insertion needle holder (120) and a drive mechanism (124) for linearly driving the insertion needle holder (120) in a longitudinal direction (126). The drive mechanism (124) comprises at least one actuator (132) for actuating the drive mechanism (124). The actuator (132) comprises at least one actuator arm (136, 138) which is pivotable about at least one axle (140) in order to actuate the drive mechanism (124). The insertion device (110) further comprises at least one protection against reuse including at least one locking mechanism (178). The locking mechanism (178) is adapted to at least partially prevent a back-pivoting of the actuator arm (136, 138) in a direction reversing the actuation direction once the actuator arm (136, 138) has been pivoted by at least one threshold angle.

Abstract: The invention relates to a penetration system comprising a carrier band ( 1) carrying a plurality of lancets (2), and a device housing (5), which has a transport device (6) for bringing the lancets (2) consecutively into a usa ge position by moving the carrier band (1) in a transport direction and a pe netration drive (7) for accelerating a lancet (2) positioned in the usage po sition for a penetrating motion, and which comprises a housing opening (8) f or application to a body part into which a lancet (2) is to be penetrated us ing a penetrating motion. A penetration system according to the invention is characterized by position marks (4) provided on the carrier band (1); a sto rage medium on which the distance values for the lancets (2) are stored, dep ending on the distance of a lancet (2) of the carrier band (1) from a positi on mark (4) associated therewith; a sensor (12) for detecting position marks (4) in a detection position through which the position marks (4) travel dur ing a movement of the carrier band (1) caused by the transport device (6); a nd a control unit (13) connected to the sensor (12) for controlling the tran sport device (6), wherein for the positioning of a lancet (2) in the usage p osition said control unit (13) stops the transport device (6) as soon as the carrier band (1) has been moved by a positioning distance starting at a ban d position in which a position mark (4) has reached the detection position, the length of the positioning distance depending on the distance of the lanc et (2) to be positioned from the detected position mark (4) and being determ ined by the control unit (13) by means of the distance value stored on the s torage medium for the lancet (2) to be positioned. The invention further rel ates to a method for positioning functional elements (2, 3) disposed on a ca rrier band (1).
