NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formulaI(R 1 is 6W20C alkyl or alkenyl; R 2 is H or C 2 H 4 OH; R 3 and R 4 are H, C 2 H 4 CO 2 M, or C 2 H 4 OH; provided that when R 2 is C 2 H 4 OH, then R 3 and R 4 are H or C 2 H 4 CO 2 M, and when R 2 is H, then one of R 3 and R 4 is C 2 H 4 OH; M is H, alkali metal, etc.). EXAMPLE: N-[α-(2-Carboxyethyl)-lauroyl]-N'-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N'-(2-carboxyethyl) ethylenediamine. USE: An amidoamine-type amphoteric surface-active agent. It is mild to the skin, eye, etc., and resistant to discoloration in high-temperature storage. PROCESS: 1 Mole of imidazoline of formula II is made to react with 1W5mol of an acrylic acid ester to obtain the compound of formula III (R 5 is 1W4C alkyl), which is mixed with 1W5mol of water and if necessary additional acrylic acid ester (the total amount of the acrylic acid ester is ≤5mol) and saponified in an alkaline aqueous solution to obtain the compound of formula I. PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition excellent in moldability, mechanical strength, impact resistance, gas barrier property, etc., by compounding polypropylene resin, a polyester resin, and a specific copolymer in specified amounts, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) 0.1-99.9wt.% of polypropylene resin, (B) 99.9-0.1wt.% of a polyester resin, (C) a copolymer consisting of (i) terminal-styrylated polypropylene and (ii) glycidyl (meth)acrylate as essential constituting components [e.g. a copolymer of the formula (R is 1-3C alkyl; R is H, methyl; n, m and p are 3-10000; q is 0-10000)] in an amount of 0.1-50 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the sum of the components A and B.

PURPOSE:To obtain the title copolymer useful as a compatibilizer, a viscosity index improver, a surface modifying agent or the like by giving thereto a specified block structure. CONSTITUTION:The title copolymer has a block structure of the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each H or 1-4 C alkyl; n is 10-10000; and m is 1-10000).

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin, containing isophthalic acid as a principal component of a dicarboxylic acid component and m-xylylene glycol as a principal component of a glycol component, excellent in gas barrier properties, especially water vapor barrier properties and useful as bags, containers, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin in which >=80mol% dicarboxylic acid residue constructing a polyester is isophthalic acid unit and >=75mol% glycol residue is m-xylylene glycol unit.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve high frequency characteristics and attainment of capacity by specifying a molecular weight of transition metallic salt of organic acid which is introduced for formation of solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a metal (Al) foil 1 which becomes an anode is etched and a micro bore is formed to enlarge a surface area thereof. After a dielectric thin film 2 of metallic oxide (Al2O3) is formed along a wallside of the bore on the surface, a layer 3 of solid-state electrolyte which is formed by oxidation polymerization of aromatic compound is formed on a surface of the dielectric thin film 2 to get deep into the bore. An electrode 5 of a metal (Ag paste) which becomes a cathode is attached to the other side of the layer 3 of solid electrolyte. A graphite layer 4 is used between the electrode 5 and the layer 3 of solid electrolyte, and electrode leads 6 and 7 are attached. Use of transition metallic salt of a molecular weight of 600 or more as oxidizer enables uniform coating of oxidizer on the dielectric and formation of a conductive polymer all over a surface of the dielectric.

PURPOSE:To contrive improvement in long-term stability of the title capacitor by a method wherein a conductive layer is formed by dry-hardening conductive paste of dry-hardening type, and packaging resin is formed by thermally setting epoxy resin using an acid-anhydride or imidazol compound as a hardening agent. CONSTITUTION:In the title solid electrolytic capacitor, a conductive layer 4 is formed by dry-hardening conductive paste of dry-hardening type, and packaging resin 5 is formed by heat-hardening epoxy resin using an acid anhydride or imidazol compound as a hardening agent. Polyolefin, polyester, polyamide and the like are named as the binder resin of the dry-hardening conductive paste used for the above-mentioned conductive layer 4. Also, as the acid anhydride to be used as the hardening agent of epoxy resin, an aromatic acid anhydride and aliphatic acid anhydride can be named. 2-methylimidazol, 2-ethyl-4- methylimidazol and the like are named as an imidazol compound. As a result, the title electrolytic capacitor, having excellent long-term stability and weatherability, can be obtained.

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in cohesive force, initial tack, peel strength, weather resistance and water resistance by blending a polymer produced from an alkyl (meth)acrylate, a crosslinking component and a polymerization initiator with specified phosphoric esters. CONSTITUTION:An objective composition containing (A) a polymer produced from (i) an alkyl (meth)acrylate having 1-14C alkyl group, (ii) a crosslinking component and (iii) a polymerization initiator using as the raw materials and (B) one or more phosphoric esters represented by formulae I-III (R is H, 1-14C aliphatic hydrocarbon, benzyl, alpha-methylbenzyl or nonylphenyl; R' is 2-4C alkylene; l, m and n are integer of 0-20).
