    Abstract: Synchronized broadcast transmits a same broadcast content using a same waveform from multiple transmitters. Transmitters each apply a same spreading code for broadcast transmissions. In 5 a spread-spectrum communication system having a time division multiplexed forward link, a synchronized broadcast transmission is inserted into a broadcast slot. One embodiment employs an Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplex (OFDM) waveform for the synchronized broadcast. An OFDM receiver is then used to process the received synchronized broadcast transmission. An alternate embodiment implements a broadcast Pseudo-random Noise (PN) code for use by multiple 10 transmitters.     Abstract: Systems, methods, and programs for activating a feature (310) on a wireless device (300) are described. In one design, the wireless device (300) receives a request to activate the feature (310) associated with the wireless device (300), wherein the feature activation request is initiated by an application executed on the wireless device (300). A feature (310) includes additional functions and services that add capability to or accessed by the wireless device (300), such as, but not limited to, voice mail, voice recognition, access to GPS, MPEG functions, and access to a data channel or increased data rates. The wireless device (300) executes a component (305) on the wireless device (300), the component (305) having logic operable to configure the wireless device (300) to access the feature (310). The wireless device (300) then activates the feature (310).

    Abstract: A method for processing a triggering even associated with information is disclosed. The method comprises a) receiving a triggering event parameter associated with the information; b) receiving extra data capable of being processed; c) monitoring the triggering event parameter; d) when the monitoring of the triggering event parameter indicates that the triggering event has occurred, placing the extra data in a queue; e) determining that a remote connection is available for processing of the extra data; and f) retrieving the extra data from the queue and processing the extra data. In some embodiments, the triggering even parameter is an expiration parameter for permission to use an application and the extra data is a URL for processing the expiration of the application.
