    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the full-solid electrochromic display element (ECD) which enables drawing without any complicate patterning process and has superior durability by specifying the transmission spectrum of a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) of tungsten oxide. CONSTITUTION:Plural layers including an electrochromic material layer 4 of tungsten oxide and a solid electrolytic layer 3 are provided on a substrate 1 which has a 1st electrode layer 2 to obtain the layers including the electrochromic material layer 4 and solid electrolytic layer 3 and a 2nd electrode layer 5 equipped with an elastic film. The spectrum of tungsten by the FT-IR satisfies expressions I and II, where absorbance of 1400cm is A1400, absorbance of 1800cm A1800, the maximum absorbance of 1600-1650cm is A*, absorbance of 2500cm A2500, absorbance of 4000cm A4000, and absorbance of 3400cm A3400. Therefore, the touch panel type full-solid ECD which enables drawing and has superior durability is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a membrane high in gas permeability, gas separating ability and resistance to org. vapor by forming a functional membrane on a porous supporting membrane consisting of a phenylene sulfide polymer. CONSTITUTION:A composite membrane for use in gas separation is obtained by forming a functional membrane on a porous supporting membrane consisting substantially of a phenylenesulfide polymer represented by the formula I (Ph represents phenylene group, X represents -SO2- or -CO- and m and n are natural numbers). This membrane may be of a random copolymer wherein the units in the number of m represented by -Ph-S- and the units in the number of n represented by -Ph-X- unite in random sequences or alternating copolymer wherein they unite in alternate sequences. For the reasons of the molecular weight, however, m+n is set at 80-400. On this supporting membrane, a functional membrane is then formed of a thin membrane consisting of the polymer such as silicone polymer and polyethylene having the ability to separate gases. In this way a composite membrane for use in gas separation high in gas permeability, gas separating ability and resistance to org. vapor is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a gas separating membrane having satisfactory permeability, selectivity and strength with satisfactory membrane forming properties by using arom. polysulfone having substituents of one or more among organosilyl, organosiloxane and organosilalkylene. CONSTITUTION:Arom. polysulfone having silicon-contg. substituents of one or more among organosilyl, organosiloxane and organosilalkylene is used as the material of a gas separating membrane. A polysulfone-polydimethylsiloxane block copolymer as the conventional material is not effective in separating oxygen from nitrogen but the arom. polysulfone obtd. by substituting the silicon- contg. substituents for part of the hydrogen or halogen atoms in the arom. or aliphat. hydrocarbon of arom. polysulfone or adding the substituents to part of the unsatd. bonds has superior permeability, selectivity, satisfactory strength in the form of a membrane and satisfactory membrane forming properties.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance a gas permeability and a separating power of a membrane by preparing a layer consisting of a layer which essentially comprises a high polymer having at least a gas permeability and a layer comprising a high polymer of a fumaric acid diester as a major ingredient, on a porous carrier. CONSTITUTION:A layer essentially comprising a high polymer having the gas permeability such as a crosslinked polysiloxane, e.g., a polydimethylsiloxane, etc., and a layer essentially comprising a polymer of the fumaric acid diester such as a poly(diisopropyl fumarate) is prepared on a porous carrier, e.g., a polysulfone, the pore size of which is ranged within 10-10,000Angstrom by means of a water surface expansion method, etc., to obtain a composite membrane for gas separation. The membrane thus obtained is excellent in the O2 permeating rate and the separation of N2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an oxygen-enriched membrane having excellent oxygen permeability coefficient and separation factor by using a polymer contg. a styrene derivative unit having an aromatic uncleus substituted for a triorganosilil group in more than a specified ratio as a separation activating layer. CONSTITUTION:A styrene monomer having an aromatic nucleus substituted for a triorganosilil group is polymerized so that >=10wt% said styrenic polymer, based on the total weight of the polymer, may be contained in the polymer, and the polymer shown by the formula is obtained. The polymer is dissolved in cyclohexane, etc. to form a thin film. The obtained polymer thin film is laminated or coated on a porous supporting body to manufacture a compound membrane for enriching oxygen.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which is the color filter for a liquid crystal display element of an IPS system and is hardly affected by static electricity without the occurrence of the lowering in yield by peeling of conductive thin films formed on the rear surface and a process for production thereof. SOLUTION: This color filter is formed by providing the surface of a transparent substrate 1 with at least a black matrix layer and respective colored layers of three primary colors in the apertures of the black matrices and in part on the black matrices. The color filter described above includes the films 3 which are patterned and formed on the surface of the transparent substrate 1 on the side not formed with the lack matrix layer and the colored layers and have electrical conductivity. This process is for production thereof.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide color filters which are the color filters formed by using a resin black matrix and which hardly give rise to the problem of the occurrence of a display defect. SOLUTION: These color filters are formed by providing the surface of a transparent substrate 22 with a black matrix layer 24 formed by dispersing at least a shading agent into a resin and providing the apertures of the black matrix 24 and part on the black matrix 24 with respective colored layers of three primary colors. In such a case, the differences between the max. values and min. values of the differences in level ΔTR within the pixels of the red colored layers, differences in level ΔTG within the pixels of the green colored layers and differences in level ΔTS within the pixels of the blue colored layers of these color filters are below 0.5 μm.
