Abstract: A radar device is provide to generates/transmits broadband impulse signal with low price and support multiple user environment. A radar device comprises a transmission unit and receiving unit. The transmission unit transmits changed first to N modulation pulse having a first to N (natural number more than 2) code value to frequency band of the first to N. Abstract: A method for determining position of a mobile station is provided to reduce infra structure cost and improve accuracy by determining the position of the mobile terminal based on various medium. A method for determining position of mobile station is comprised of steps: requesting the position information to each medium and receiving the information and response time(S410~S424); estimating distance from each medium based on time of transmitting and receiving and processing(S440); measuring the location of the mobile terminal based on the presumed distance(450). In the device, various medium include at least one WLAN(wireless local area network) AP(Access Poont) or WPAN.

Abstract: A serial transmission system for sharing a plurality of differential lanes is provided to reduce the number of differential lanes and power consumption in a portable multimedia terminal by adjusting a bandwidth of the reception devices according to a total bandwidth of the differential lanes. A transmission bridge(20) transmits data to a plurality of transmission devices(10) through a plurality of differential lanes(30) by packeting the data received from a plurality of transmission devices, distributing a packet to each differential lane, and serializing the distributed packet. A receiving bridge(40) transfers the data to each reception device(50) by parallelizing the packet received from the transmission bridge through the differential lanes, extracting the data from the paralleled packets, and distributing the data to each reception device. The packet includes ID information informing the receiving bridge of the reception device to receive the data extracted from the packet. The transmission bridge includes a transmission protocol layer(21), a transmission physical layer(22), and a bandwidth controller(23).

Abstract: A method for detecting the connection of a cable and a method for controlling the output of a portable terminal are provided to shut off the output of an embedded display and allow only an external output automatically so that power consumption is reduced. The connection of a cable and a portable terminal is detected(S100). An external output signal becomes in an off state and the power of a display embedded in the portable terminal is turned on if the cable is not connected(S120,S130). The display is turned off, and a signal is transmitted to the cable if the cable is connected. The power state of the portable terminal is checked frequently or periodically(S160). The connection of the cable is detected by using a hot plug detect(HPD), embedding a switch in a jack, or using a ground path.

Abstract: A memory unit for implementing a serial data transmission is provided to transmit smoothly data even in case that the number of lanes in a transmitting end is not the same as that in a receiving end. A memory unit for implementing a serial data transmission comprises the first routing table(312), the first multiplexer(314), a memory(330), the second multiplexer(324), and the second routing table(322). The first routing table(312) receives and collects data from a physical layer where lanes are seamlessly connected at a transmitting end and a receiving end. Abstract: An intelligent multimode apparatus and a realization method thereof are provided to form a conversion switch unit and a sensing unit additionally in a multimode terminal to use an unused frequency band effectively, thereby improving data transmission speed and performance.
