Abstract: Disclosed are a wireless power transmission device using a frequency multiplier and a method for the same. The wireless power transmission device using the frequency multiplier comprises a signal input unit for receiving a first alternating current (AC) signal; a frequency multiplier for outputting a second AC signal with a frequency higher than that of the first AC signal using the harmonic components of the first AC signal; and a power transmission unit for transmitting power by receiving the second AC signal. Accordingly, a complex structure for converting AC signals into DC signals to generate AC signals for wireless power transmission and re-converting the DC signals into the AC signals can be simplified by using the frequency multiplier. Also, wireless transmission of a small amount of power required for sensor nodes located at peripheral regions can be carried out effectively.
