Abstract: 본 발명은 펩타이드 절편(fragment)을 통한 펩타이드의 구조적 선호도에 근거하여 활성 펩타이드를 간단하게 설계하는 기술에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로 본 발명은 HMG-CoA 환원효소를 경쟁적으로 억제하는 펩타이드에 관한 기술로서, HMG-CoA 환원효소를 경쟁적으로 저해함을 특징으로 하는 서열번호 1 내지 서열번호 5로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 어느 하나 이상의 서열을 포함하는 펩타이드에 관한 것이다. 상기 펩타이드는 HMG-CoA 환원효소를 경쟁적으로 저해함을 특징으로 할 수 있다.
또한 본 발명에서는 서열번호 1 내지 서열번호 5로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 어느 하나 이상의 서열을 포함하는 펩타이드를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콜레스테롤 합성 억제제를 제공하며, 상기 억제제는 심혈관계질환을 치료용인 것을 특징으로 할 수 있다.
