    Abstract: In the prepn. of pure aminoalkyl- or -aryl-melamine derivs. of formula (I), melamine is reacted with a diamine of formula H2N-R-NH2 (IV) in molar ratio diamine:melamine at least 10:1, esp. at least 20:1.     Abstract: In a new process for the prodn of ketone of formula R1-C0-R2 (I) by reaction of a carboxylic acid of formula R1-C00H (IIa) with a carboxylic acid of formula (IIb) or with a ketone of formula (Ib) or of a mixture of (IIa), R2-C00H (IIb) and R2C0-R2 (Ia) in the gas phase in the presence of a catalyst, a catalyst is used in which at least 50% of the active mass consists of titanium dioxide and which has a specific surface of greater than 10 sq metres/gramme. In (I)-(IIb) R1, R2 = alkyl, cycloalkyl, arylalkyl, aryl or heteroaryl, at least one of R1 and R2 carrying at least one H-atom in the alpha-position.
