SOLUTION: A white film for the reflecting plate of the surface light source is made of white polyester film containing bubbles. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented laminated polyester film characterized in that a dimensional change ratio and a rise in the coefficient of friction are reduced after long-term use under constant load at a high temperature and suitable for use as a high capacity magnetic tape. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented laminated polyester film is obtained by providing a lamination part comprising an organic polymer or inorganic matter on at least one surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film and the elastic modulus in the longitudinal direction and/or lateral direction of this film is 7.0 GPa or more, the heat shrinkage factor thereof at 100 deg.C measured in the same direction is 0.50% or less and the creep compliance thereof after the elapse of 30 min under a load condition of 28 MPa at 50 deg.C measured in the same direction is 0.05-0.30 GPa-1.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film having large bending strength even if small in thickness, excellent in heat resistance and extremely excellent even in form stability when heat-treated in a processing process. SOLUTION: The laminated polyester film is obtained by forming laminating films containing 30 wt.% or more of alkali metal silicate on both surfaces of a polyester film. The laminated polyester film is manufactured by applying a solution containing 30 wt.% or more of alkali metal silicate with respect to the total solid to both surfaces of the polyester film before crystal orientation is substantially completed and stretching the coated film at least uniaxially to dry the same.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent hot stick resistance, no dirt of a thermal head and excellent printability, by laminating a laminate film containing a mixture of a heat resistant resin and an oily substance as a constituting component on a biaxially oriented polyester film without any intermediary of an adhesive layer. SOLUTION: A polyester film is obtained by longitudinally and axially orienting the film before its crystal orientation is completed in the state that a laminate film is provided, and completing the orientation by heat treating to exhibit a biaxial orientation pattern by a wide angle X-ray diffraction. In the laminate film, a main constituting component is a mixture of a heat resistant resin and an oily substance of 70% or more contained in the film. The laminate film is laminated on at least one surface of the polyester film substantially without intermediary of an adhesive layer. Thus, excellent hot stick resistance, no dirt of a thermal head and excellent printability can be provided even in a high energy application area.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a laminated film having excellent flame retardant effect and good productivity by laminating heat resistant resin layers on both surfaces of a polyester film, and setting a drip rate when burned to a specific value or below. SOLUTION: As a polyester in a polyester film (hereinafter referred to as a 'film'), it is not particularly limited, and a polypropylene naphthalate or the like is used. As the film, a film biaxially oriented in the state that a laminated film is provided is desired. A drip rate of the film is 10% or below. Here, the rate is obtained by a combustion test based on UL94VO standards. The film having such a small drip rate is obtained by laminating heat resistant resin layers on both surfaces of the film. As the heat resistant resin, a resin soluble in a bipolar aprotic solvent is suitably used. In this case, an aromatic polyamide resin is suitable. As one example, an N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone can be used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the self-recovering properties of a PPS film capacitor without impairing the outstanding heat resistance, dielectric characteristics, mechanical characteristics and the like of a PPS film by laminating a noncrystalline polyester resin composition on one face of a biaxially oriented polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) film. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented PPS film is formed by melt-extruding, biaxially orienting and thermally treating a resin composition mainly composed of poly-p-phenylene sulfide. In addition, the PPS laminated film is formed by laminating a noncrystalline polyester resin layer at least on one face of the PPS film. The lamination process is preferably such that a solution of a noncrystalline polyester resin composition or a microparticle dispersion of the composition is applied to the PPS film, and the solvent is removed to obtain the laminated film. The capacitor is manufactured by vapor-depositing a metal at least on one face of the PPS laminated film, and winding or laminating metallized films each other or a double-metallized film and the like alternately.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesion durability between an ink accepting layer and a base material polyester film by a method wherein a layer made of a polyester resin melt with hot water is laminated onto at least one side of a polyester film so as to provide an ink accepting film through the above layer. SOLUTION: In this accepting film for an ink jet as the polyester film used for a base material film, a polyester, the major constitutional component of which is ethylene terephthalate, is preferably used from the synthetic judgement on quality, economical efficiency or the like. Further, when heat acts on a base material, a polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate excellent in heat resistance and rigidity is preferable. Onto at least one side of the above base material polyester film, a layer made of a polyester resin meltable with hot water is laminated. Onto the above layer, an ink accepting layer including a water-soluble resin such as a polyvinyl alcohol or a water-dispersible resin is laminated so as to improve the adhesion durability.

In this case, the thermoplastic resin (b) and the thermoplastic resin (d) have different compsns. and the center line average roughness Ra of the B-layer is 0.5 μm or less and the apparent density of the film is 0.5-below 1.3 g/cm3.
