PURPOSE: A method for compressing an image using a dual object detection and motion trajectory information in steps of encoding and decoding the image is provided to extract image information, motion information, and transformation information for an object from an encoding process, and to reconfigure a prediction frame using the motion information and the transformation information for the object extracted on the basis of a reference frame in a decoding process, thereby raising a compression rate. 본 발명은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 이용한 소셜 네트워크 구축 기술로서, 영화 및 드라마 등의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠에 포함되어 있는 등장 인물 및 사물에 대한 소셜 네트워크를 영화, 드라마 대본 등의 메타데이터를 통해 생성할 수 있는 것으로 영화 및 드라마의 대본을 미디어의 메타데이터로 동영상과 함께 전송하여 이를 수신한 클라이언트에서 동영상의 타임라인에 맞게 소셜 네트워크를 구축하고 이에 대한 정보를 제공하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 현재 방영중인 영화나 드라마 등 미디어의 흐름을 놓치거나 이해도가 낮을 경우 사용자가 원하는 시점에 그 시점까지의 미디어 전개 상황을 확인할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 미디어에 대한 이해도를 향상시켜 몰입도 높은 미디어 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: An encoding method which applies an intra prediction of a macro block variable size division mode and a device thereof are provided to reduce an error of pixel values of a macro block by processing a calculation mode of a representative pixel value of the corresponding macro block in case of applying the intra prediction in a variable size macro block compression mode of a P frame. CONSTITUTION: In case the horizontal and vertical sizes of a macro block are the same or less than a standard size, an encoding device calculates the average value of the macro block and sets up the representative value of the macro block(S520,S522,S529). In case the horizontal and vertical sizes exceed the standard size or at least one of the sizes exceeds the standard size, the device calculates an average value about each minor macro block which is generated by the division of the macro block and sets up a representative value about each of the minor macro block(S530,S532,S526). 본 발명은 온라인 미디어 서비스와 그 매트릭스 관리를 연동하는 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 온라인 미디어 서비스와 그 매트릭스 관리를 연동하는 시스템은 부가 정보를 신속하게 전달하기 위한 디지털 미디어를 구성하고 사용자의 실감 휴대 단말에 해당 콘텐츠를 전송할 수 있도록 하며, 정확한 정보 전달을 위해 사용되는 부가 정보를 온라인 미디어라 정의하고, 서비스되는 미디어의 저작 및 발행을 하기 위해 데이터 포맷을 정의하는 방법과 이를 저장하는 미디어 서버를 구성하며 정보의 존재를 알리기 위한 홍보 메시지를 매트릭스라고 정의하며, 온라인 미디어 매트릭스가 디지털 미디어뿐만 아니라 기존의 대중 미디어와 호환성을 위해 연동 가능한 형태의 데이터 구조 및 사용 방법을 제공하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 온라인 미디어 서비스가 현실세계의 미디어와 연계하여 부가정보를 온라인으로 실시간 전송하고 이를 위한 매트릭스 구조 및 운영 방법을 제시하여 올드 미디어와 호환성 있는 서비스를 하도록 함으로써, 기존의 증강현실 및 미디어 서비스에 비해 다양한 부가 콘텐츠를 근처의 디지털 미디어 엔진의 전송을 통해 신속하고 저비용으로 제공할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: An encoder and a decoder for distributing an image through symmetrical motion prediction and a channel division and a method thereof are provided to minimize distortion of side information and remove residual part existing in a channel code decoding process, thereby reducing calculation amount. CONSTITUTION: A key frame encoder(110) encodes the key frame of a image. As a response of the encoded image, a buffer receives a first channel image information of large distortion larger than preset value. A first channel image is divided from a side image information applying interpolation to the key frame. A quantization unit(130) quantizes a Wyner-Ziv frame through the first channel image information. A Wyner-Ziv frame encoder(140) encodes the quantized Wyner-Ziv frame.

PURPOSE: A multimedia reproduction system for reproducing multimedia data including audio and video, and a method of reproducing multimedia using the same are provided to synchronize the videos reproduced by a multimedia player because an existing media controller performing a synchronization function regardless of the input multimedia data type cooperates with the media controller installed on another multimedia player. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia reproduction system(500) comprises a first multimedia player(100), a second multimedia player(200), and a user interface(300). The first multimedia player comprises a first media controller(180) controlling the reproduction of a first audio and a first video in response to the multimedia data provided from an external device. The second multimedia player is independently driven and comprises a second media controller(280) controlling the reproduction of a second video in response to the multimedia data. The user interface transmits synchronization information to the first and second media controllers. The first media controller receives the reproduction time of the second video from the second media controller according to the synchronization information and the difference between the reproduction time of the first and second videos.

An apparatus for controlling a home network according to the multimedia contents metadata analysis and a method thereof are provided to generate metadata for controlling an electronic home appliance of itself home network, easily. A multimedia selector(212) selects multimedia contents. A multimedia extractor(214) extracts control metadata from multimedia contents selected by the multimedia selector. A multimedia analyzer(216) analyzes the extracted control metadata. A control message generator(218) generates a control message for controlling a digital device within a home network based on the electronic home appliance control metadata.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for sharpening a blurred blown-up image are provided to remove blurring of the magnified image by using an edge-adaptive clearing method without a side effect such as ringing or artifact, thereby clearing the magnified image. A digital image processor(20) comprises the followings. A main edge direction calculator(21) includes a digital filter, and extracts brightness of an inputted image. A first high pass calculator(23) selects one direction of 0, 90, 135 or 45 degrees as a main edge direction. By obtaining a difference value of the main edge direction, the first high pass calculator obtains a high pass filtering value in correspondence with the main edge direction. A second high pass calculator(24) obtains a general high pass filtering value. An adaptive digital filtering unit(25) adaptively mixes the high pass filtering value, filtered from the first high pass calculator, and the general high pass filtering value, filtered by the second high pass calculator, according to an edge direction deviation. Therefore, the adaptive digital filtering unit obtains a digital filtering value.

A mouse interface device using a camera, a system and a method using the same, and a computer-readable recording medium thereof are provided to control a position of a mouse cursor in a screen without any additional device by using homography converting a coordinate system of a camera into a planar coordinate system of the screen. An image coordinate detecting module(310) detects image coordinates, which are positions of at least four points found on an edge of a screen from a camera image, from the screen captured by a camera(100). A homography processing module(320) finds homography by using the detected image coordinates and planar coordinates, which are the planar coordinates formed by the screen for the predetermined points. The homography comprises a 3X3 matrix converting a coordinate system of the camera into a planar coordinate system of the screen. A cursor coordinate outputting module(330) outputs screen coordinates for the predetermined point of the camera image by using the homography and determines the screen coordinates as the position of the cursor. A mouse driver(400) moves the position of the cursor according to a change of the determined coordinates.
