    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform dyeing of fabric to elegant color having high color fastness by treating a formed fiber article with a metal salt mordant and immersing in a hydrosol of a noble metal having negative charge. CONSTITUTION:A formed fiber article consisting of a woven or knit fabric of silk or wool is treated with a metal salt mordant such as aluminum acetate or basic chromium oxide and then immersed in a hydrosol of a noble metal having negative charge (e.g., chloroauric acid or silver nitrate) to obtain the dyed fabric exhibiting characteristic elegant color tone of the noble metal.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enable clear white and colored discharge printing in exhibiting an excellent resist printing property without using a reducing agent by utilizing a viscous solution of a polyamide derivative having thermal reversibility as a resist agent. CONSTITUTION: A viscous aqueous solution of a polyacrylamide derivative having thermal reversibility phase transversal to hydrophilic property at a low temperature and hydrophobic property at a high temperature is prepared, the aqueous solution is printed to a natural or a synthetic fibers cloth according to a normal method and a discharge printing colored glue is overprinted (or dipped dyed) at a temperature higher than a phase transition point of the thermally reversible compound. By using the thermally reversible poste, an excellent resist printing effect is exhibited without using a reducing agent and clear white removing or colored discharge printing can be performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title thickener which can control the viscosity of an aqueous dispersion over a wide range of temperature, comprising a thermoreversibly hydrophilic and hydrophobic (co)polymer of a specified acrylamide type vinyl compound with, optionally, other vinyl compounds. CONSTITUTION:A monomer mixture comprising an acrylamide type vinyl compound (A) (e.g., N-methoxyethoxypropylacrylamide) an aqueous solution of whose homopolymer shows thermoreversible hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity and, optionally, at most 90mol%, preferably, 60mol% or below, other vinyl compounds (e.g., ethyl acrylate) are (co)polymerized at 10-100 deg.C in a solvent (e.g., dioxane) in the presence of 0.01-10 wt.%, based on the mixture, redical polymerization initiator (e.g., azobisisobutyronitrile) to obtain the title thickener which is a thermoreversibly hydropholic and hydrophobic (co)polymer having an intrinsic viscosity (in a tetrahydrofuran solution at 27 deg.C) of 0.3 or above, preferably, 0.5 or above. To an aqueous dispersion is added 0.001-30pts.wt. (in terms of a solid matter) thickener per 100pts.wt. solid matter of the dispersion.

USE:Useful as a raw material monomer for a high polymer compound of hydrophilic-hydrophobic heat reversible type. The polymer is reversibly dissolved in water in a low-temperature range, becomes water-insoluble in a high- temperature range and is useful as a light screening material, temperature sensor, adsorbent, toy, interior, printing auxiliary and display. PREPARATION:(Meth)acrylic acid chloride is reacted with methoxyethoxypropylamine and triethylamine in a solvent such as benzene at 0-10 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula. The vinyl compound of this invention, N-methoxyethoxypropylacrylamide and N- methoxyethoxypropylmethacrylamide are colorless liquid, soluble in solvents such as water, methyl alcohol, acetone and THF and insoluble in n-hexane and n-heptane.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which turns hydrophobic at high temperatures and is useful for light screen, temperature sensor, separative membrane, mechanochemical element material, etc., by polymerizing a specified vinyl compound and dissolving the polymer in water. CONSTITUTION:(Meth)acryloyl chloride, 3-methoxypropylamine and triethylamine are reacted in a solvent such as acetone, benzene or toluene, pref. at 0-10 deg.C, to give a vinyl compound of formula I (where R1 is H or CH3). The product is dissolved in a solvent such as alcohol, N,N-dimethylformamide, etc., so that its concn. be 1-80wt.%, and the soln. is polymemrized by, e.g., heating in the presence of a radical polymn. initiator or applying light in the presence of a photosensitizer to give a thermo-reversibly hydrophilic-hydrophobic polymer consisting of recurring units of formula II and having an MW corresponding to an intrinsic viscosity of 0.01-6.0 (at 30 deg.C). This product is dissolved in water, so that its concn. be at least 0.01wt.%, to give an aq. soln. having a desired transition temp.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an organic semiconductor stable in air and excellent in heat resistance, film smoothness, variety of developed colors, etc., by doping a specified polymer obtained by introducing a heterocyclic group other than a thiophene group into the molecular chain of a thiophene polymer with an anion. CONSTITUTION:The purpose organic semiconductor is prepared by doping a polymer consisting of repeating units of formula I (wherein R is formula II, III or IV) with an anion (e.g., tetrafluoroborate ion or perchlorate ion). Said polymer is produced by electrolytically polymerizing a compound of formula V, VI or VII. Although the polymer obtained by the electrolytic polymerization has been doped with the anion of the supporting electrolyte used, the dopant can be removed by reversing the polarity in the electrolytic polymerization to give a polymer in a neutral state. The obtained polymer can be suitably used as an electrode material, a solar battery material or the like.
