In each of them a methylene group may be substituted by O, S, SO, SO2 or -N(R )-; R stands for H, C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C6 alkenyl, C3-C6 alkinyl; Z stands for phenyl, 5-membered heteroaromate or 6-membered heteroaromate with 1 to 4 N atoms; X stands for NO2, CN, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 halogenalkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, C1-C4 alkylthio, C1-C4 halogenalkoxy, COOH, C1-C4 alkoxycarbonyl, optionally substituted benzyloxycarbonyl, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted pyridyl, -NR R ,; R stands for H, C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C6 alkenyl, C3-C6 alkinyl, R stands for H, C1-C4 alkyl, C3-C6 alkenyl, C3-C6 alkinyl C1-C6 acyl, optionally substituted benzoyl. The invention also concerns their salts. The sulfonyl urea derivatives can be used as herbicides.
